Gotcha. Yeah, I saw those, and thought they would be a nice & easy solution using the existing fuse block. What youāre experiencing was my actual concern with them. Thanks for the heads up!
Thinking Iāll probably cut out the fuse blocks and just add an inline 40A CB, like this one:
40A Inline...
Correct.
Lights and possibly radio (not sure the peak amperage for GMRS) could probably run directly off AUX connections. Being GMRS has its own on/off switch, that may be redundant, though. Winch, Iām pretty sure, draws way more than 30A (like up to nearly 300A under heavy load - someone...
In the context of this thread, weāre talking about an ARB compressor install, which draws its power directly from the battery (via 2 x 40A connections directly to accessory terminals on the battery), instead of through the AUX switches.
The AUX switches themselves ARE powered, so you are able...
Probably worth noting that any switch will do, but probably want to save AUX1 & AUX2 for power drawing accessories. Theyāre 30A and 15A respectively, with the remaining AUX3-6 being 10A.
Also, @Jo8n, what circuit breakers did you go with?
I havenāt run HOSS 2.0 off road at high speed (only low speed demo), but Iāve done so with the 3.0. Even with fully aired tires, the Foxes soaked up everything and kept me glued to the dirt.
Would love to run the two side by side for comparison, though!
Even if the difference turned out to be...
May be because of the crook in the BL & WT rods vs the straight line of the Braptor tie rods. The bend may require more material to hold integrity while pushing/pulling with a bend in it.
So glad I got HOSS 3.0! Love the ride on the Foxes! Mineās MY23 WT, so it came standard.
Now, if Ford...
Donāt have an answer, but Ford customer service may (or they may have no clue / feed you a line of made-up BS). But, recommend you give them a ring to see what they can do for you and the impact any actions may have on your order.
Sorry to hear your dealer has gone incommunicado on you and I...
Yeah, Bowen Scarff Ford service in Kent, WA has always been pretty legit in all service and warranty work Iāve ever had them do.
Their sales team was good for my Ranger purchase. Would have gone through them for my Bronco, but had a MUCH better deal from a different dealer.
Bureaucracy is...
So, took my Bronco in on 4/24 and they confirmed CV boot failure. They kept my rig while waiting for parts and gave me a loaner BB baby Bronco while I waited.
Estimated completion was next Wednesday, but they actually got her back to me today!
Super glad for the quick turnaround! Especially...
Funny enough, the replacement came defective as well. š
No threads cut in the upper holes of the mounting brackets. Ended up having to tap them myself, rather than requesting another replacement.
https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/fixed-slide-out-tailgate-brackets-missing-threading.71020/
Fixed it.
Bought an autozone tap and die set for $35 and just tapped the holes myself.
Takes an M8 x 1.25 tap for those bracket holes - for anyone in the same situation or even just wondering.
Took some elbow grease and some actual oil to lube the tool of course, but it was a LOT simpler...
Hi all,
Installing the slide out tailgate and it would seem the brackets that the frame of the tailgate bolt to are missing threads.
See step 11:
Instructions show the bolts going into the brackets without nuts. I was assuming that the holes in the brackets are threaded.
They are not:
And...
How I got my tailgate. (n)
Insult to injury, had to drive 40 mins to a FEDEX location that could receive such a large package for return.
All that said, Ford customer service took care of it without a fuss and the replacement tailgate is now on the way.
Hereās to hoping it gets here in one...
You make a good point, and that certainly is a plus! Torque #ās are already pretty good on the Bronco vs "competition". Of course, they sort of need to be to overcome the inertia of a 4,000lb brick! An extra 50lbft of twist on the low end would certainly help!
And I'm not saying that I "won't"...
Perhaps. I see the Pro Cal registered under my profile on FP. No sign of VIN indicated, but very little details to be found there. So, who knows.
Didn't have a chance to get ahold of FP today, hope to give it a shot tomorrow.
Yeah, Iām afraid thatāll be the case. The gains are worth it on the Ranger and Bronco 2.3ās. Having a hard time rationalizing $800 for just another 25 ponies.
Either way, Iāll reach out to FP and share the results here, no matter how underwhelming, even if only for sake of posterity.
