I used a Racor phl-1r hoist for a 2d wrangler hard top. About $150 or so, worked well. They seem to go in and out of availability at places like HD and WallyWorld. There are videos out there about how it has been done. One person operation to get the top off/on.

No green though.

2017 Tacomama is my first and likely last. Hate the throttle lag and indecisive downshifting. First A/T because none of the manual trims were viable. I expected way better. Thinking I’ll go back to manual...4dr BD with hard top and Mid.

Not gonna lie, that was my first thought too if there’s no factory white top option at a reasonable price. I’ve only ever derped little things like emblems though. I know bigger stuff can be done, but it’s outside my experience.

They really need to make a thing so your seatbelt goes on automatically instead of having to remember to strap in. That’d be so excellent.

Factory hard vs soft top may affect things such as whether it’s wired/plumbed for rear window defroster and wiper/washer, if those are a consideration for you. Might be worth looking into if you care.
