Who on earth would buy a 4x4 just because it’s fast 0-60? Well, this wasn’t the only reason, but it was a reason, and dang, it’s a blast. Ridiculously capable, loud when I want it to be, high riding, fast, (well, quick), with a great top, blast. Never would have even considered it if Ford...
Out of the blue received the "YOUR VEHICLE IS SCHEDULED FOR PRODUCTION" email yesterday. Been a really long time since I received any comms from anyone regarding this thing. Production week is 8/8. Have had 4 or so delays so far, we'll see if this actually happens (or if they have wheels by...
Definitely eager to see more comparisons (at sea level) and with some other actual things characteristics of the trucks being compared, but quickness matters. 0-45 is pretty much what I get to enjoy more than anything. Having a good sound and something under the go pedal makes a difference...
They'll start taking orders leading up to Job 1. There will be many, many months left of builds before the change over. Same as ever.
Some might even say a late 2022 is better, as maybe they'll work out some kinks. We shall see. :)
Started at 6/6 and after three moves of the date, I'm 7/25 also. The end of July really does mean this thing misses the entire summer by the time it hits the dealer. And that certainly is a bummer. Never plan vacations and fun things around Ford. That's for sure.
Guess I'll keep enjoying the...
That’s the window sticker from my Rubicon 392 XR. I don’t quite get 14mpg combined, but can see some good highway mpg if I go slowly (like sub 70). It sounds so good with the “performance exhaust on” that I have a hard time not getting on it a lot around town and the mpg really suffers as a...
Have seen so many folks pushed back and ours was just staying put at 6/6 until now.. D'oh! Now we're 6/20. Excited to see these finally start to get scheduled and roll off the line for folks.
We’ll be in a similar boat when our BRaptor arrives. I happen to not mind the unrefined drive of our 392 one bit, but I’m still very early in the ownership experience. Maybe it’ll get old in time. For now though, I can actually drive this thing, and it is a hoot. There’s no Bronco I can...
That's why a person has an emergency fund ... 3 - 6 months in cash. If I can't float that _and_ buy a toy, I can't afford the toy. Raptors are toys. But again, if you can tell the future, and think that what is happening now makes sense and is easy to plan around, have at it. I don't.
So do we really thing that the last four digits is the actual in order Raptor we’re getting? Is that really how it works? I’m seeing higher numbers than mine with earlier build dates. In other news, bother Ford does has ever made sense to me. :)
I just had a double take when I saw that second bubble up top totally green and the middle one blue. I have looked at that page so many times, I thought it was static... now it's "Scheduled for Production: 6/6/22"
We’ve got a R1T preordered too… :) but I likely won’t still have both the BRaptor and the 392XR when it arrives. The smart one in this relationship has to draw the line somewhere….
