Mine was VERY tight at first. I made a strong hook I could use to pull down on the clasp hooks, but after a few weeks the top relaxed enough that it works as well as the factory one now.
No, I understand the bars are the only part that have the ability to be yellow. Unless you have the raptor headlights. I was just trying to see if you could illuminate the orange bars without illuminating the rings at all.
So this is what it looks like when the lamps are on "auto"? Is there a way to have JUST the orange bars come on without the white? Or, so that when you turn on the "parking lamps" (on the switch just above auto) you would get just the orange bars? That's what I want to try and do... You are...
Thanks, Man! Kids... I had a Built up 2 DR JK Jeep for over a decade, and it was the arrival of kids that made that no longer work for me. I don't hate the 4 DR's, But Im with you on the 2 Dr being better in some respects!
I didn't really know where else to ask this, but is there a way of re-wiring, or other such mod that would make it so the daytime running lights are actually just the amber bars (used for turn signal) instead of the open circle and white bars?
After a long absence, I finally finished the build. Things were pretty hectic for a while, so forums were on my back burner list... Regardless, the completed rig can be found here: https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/my-finished-build.72799/post-1915923
Honestly I had the light bar before the top, so I can't compare how much "more" there might be with the light bar. What I can say is, with the windows up, its fairly quiet but with the windows open, the top flaps just a little bit causing a popping sound like popcorn as the cross bar pockets...
Hey all... a few months ago, I was periodically posting on my build each time I had updates, but life got busy and I stopped posting... but I didn't stop working on my build up... it's pretty much finished for now though! Have a look!!! build list at the bottom, after pictures!!!

If you're talking about the power cord hanging out of the hood, its likely an engine heater. As pilots we often use them to preheat our aircraft engines in cold envirnments, wouldn't doubt thats what it is, considering where he lives.
Update. I did find some rubbing. but its minor and quite addressable. So I found a light rubbing on the front tire at the back crash bar mounting point. The crash bars are removed from the factory, but the mounting point still sticks out. The tire only rubs when the steering wheel is at absolute...
I didn't touch the shock preload adjustment. They come properly set from the manufacturer, although, I may dial the front ones up a half inch to an inch to make up for the extra weight of the winch and 4WP Bumper. and the measurement you asked for was 42" at 36 PSI tire pressure.
I'm pretty sure the lift is a legit 3" over the Sasquatch. Unfortunately, I didn't measure, but It IS a big difference. Swapping the 35's out for 37's also added another inch. It definitely "feels" like a much bigger rig. Standing next to it, especially in front of it where its quite clearly...
Progress over the last month... In my last post I installed the Bestop Trek Top, Bestop Bikini Mesh top, and a Hidden GMRS radio. (Don't know if anyone even saw the post.) Anyway... over the last few days, I've gone further yet again. Installed DV8 lower A-arm skids, rear shock mount and...
Build update! Been keeping busy... Just installed the Fabtech heim joint Tie Rods, Bestop Trektop over the Bikini mesh top, and installed a hidden Midland MXT 575! Wired the power and antenna through the firewall, behind the driver pedals, under the center console trim and into the armrest...
Thanks for the reply! Which parts did you adjust, if you don't mind me asking? The mounting brackets or the linkages? I don't really see much that can be adjusted. Speaking of... Holy S#it were the windows a bear to put in... lol!
