The testing was not Bronco-specific. We tested the torque strength of the m8 bolt press fit into the aluminum, the result is 2x the torque required for the average vehicle lug nut. We also tested the overall pull strength and the D_ring connector strength.
I hear you! Unfortunately, material costs have gone up more than anticipated. These are also fairly custom parts and done in smaller batches so we don't get the large volume material discounts. We have also been running failure testing, adding to the delay. Cheers, G
A quick update on the Hardtop bolts. We have the final Gen 2 design prototypes complete and tested along with the new anodized colors. Loving the newest addition - green.:) Full production has just started and will take about 6-7 weeks to complete. We are taking discounted pre-orders on our...
Thanks for sharing the pics! This is only happening in one location, correct? I think the spacer is a great idea, I think we can add something similar. We will have to track down a Gen to the hard top to test. Thanks again!
Hi, Sorry for the delay:) We are running load-bearing tests on the Gen 2 version tomorrow and I expect the new anodizing color samples to arrive next week. As soon as both are signed off we will be starting the next production run. I will send a message out to everyone who is on the waiting list...
Thanks! We will have Black, Red, Orange, Deep Blue & Green. A lot of people have been asking for the Cactus Grey, going to try but not sure how that will turn out with Aluminum anodizing.
Lol, I hear you! These have Delrin spacers so I can get mine pretty close to being lined up. That being said, if you don't get them pretty snug, you should check them from time to time after rattling around on a trail!
Hi, yes these are the same bolts as jeep, but jeep has 6 Bronco has 8. We have red available on the Rockworkx site. (Showed as out of stock for a while but updated now). Black and other colors are about 8 weeks out.
