  1. Rock Krawler Suspension coming Triangulated 4 link

If you analyze the geometry, I don't think the lateral forces are what you think they are. The load is still primarily in line with the brackets. Certainly not a roll of the dice... Off road builders have been doing triangulated rear links for decades.
  2. NEW: Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac RT Tires

Pretty good tire when brand new... Performance deteriorates faster than most any tire I have experienced. People looking for a good modern AT should look at the Falken AT3w. https://toptirereview.com/falken-wildpeak-at3w-vs-goodyear-wrangler-duratrac/
  3. NEW: Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac RT Tires

When I spoke with the Goodyear reps at an industry event about a year ago, they said this tire was primarily designed to address the most common complaints with the original Duratrac, primarily noise as they wear... The original Duratrac was a good tire, but it's long in the tooth now and there...
  4. Rock Krawler Suspension coming Triangulated 4 link

Reputation is generated through experience and expertise. I've been working with RK products for a decade and I know what Jeremy puts in to his products and R&D. They, like Metalcloak will never be first to market with a "lift kit". The variables are why you trust someone like RK to get it...
  5. Rock Krawler Suspension coming Triangulated 4 link

They've already figured that out.... RK is excellent in the live axle world.
  6. The Best Truck Tires, According to Experts (September 2023 review by C&D / RealTruck)

Just that it's in the works and they are focusing on tire weight. That's been the top feedback they've received. The AT3W is not the heaviest AT, but it's also far from the lightest. I'm hoping it's as good as the AT3W or better, will be an outstanding tire.
  7. The Best Truck Tires, According to Experts (September 2023 review by C&D / RealTruck)

It seemed like you were leaning that way. Unfortunately, almost all of the 16" tires in that size are Load Range E. I would choose one of my 2 favorites, the Falken AT3W or the BFG KO2. They are both excellent tires. The Falken is a more flat profile tire and the BFG is a bit more rounded...
  8. The Best Truck Tires, According to Experts (September 2023 review by C&D / RealTruck)

285/75R16 is the right size for your goals. The MXT is a mud terrain class tire, made by Cooper Tires. Are you wanting to stay in a mud terrain or transition to an all terrain or rugged terrain?
  9. The Best Truck Tires, According to Experts (September 2023 review by C&D / RealTruck)

What size? Since different tires can be available in different Load Range, size does influence my opinion/recommendation.
  10. The Best Truck Tires, According to Experts (September 2023 review by C&D / RealTruck)

At the time I bought Pat's for both Jeeps they had unreal pricing... I paid $158/ea for my 315's on the 4dr and less than $200 for the ones on the LJ. It's not like that any more...
  11. The Best Truck Tires, According to Experts (September 2023 review by C&D / RealTruck)

STT Pro is a decent tire, sell quite a few. I think I would go with the Baja Boss MT, I think it might be slightly better in the wet, but otherwise the construction of the 2 tires is identical, both made by Cooper. The Falken Wildpeak MT is my favorite mud terrain even though I run the...
  12. The Best Truck Tires, According to Experts (September 2023 review by C&D / RealTruck)

I try to stay within the MFG recommended wheel widths, but 1/2" off either way isn't going to make a noticeable difference in my opinion. It's 1/4" each side... We have the same 7.5" factory wheel width in the Jeep world and put on 315/70's for customers that want to keep the factory wheels...
  13. The Best Truck Tires, According to Experts (September 2023 review by C&D / RealTruck)

A per my first post in this thread, my favorite all terrain is the Falken AT3w. But make sure you get something that is no heavier than a load range C if you want to keep your pavement ride quality. They have an SL tire in 285/70R17 that is an excellent tire for a non-squatch Bronco. The BFG...
  14. The Best Truck Tires, According to Experts (September 2023 review by C&D / RealTruck)

They are a great off road tire and perfectly fine in normal weather conditions. Are they like slicks? No, I just immediately noticed the rear step out under mild acceleration on a city street near where we lived while it was raining. So then I played with them a bit and noticed that they slid...
  15. Most aggressive 3 peak rated 35 or 315 tire

3PMSF is a traction rating in medium packed snow. It is an actual test done that requires a rating of 110 or higher where the "good" reference tire rates 100. It also requires a rubber compound that remains pliable under 40deg F. So yes, it does denote a performance advantage in certain...
  16. The Best Truck Tires, According to Experts (September 2023 review by C&D / RealTruck)

In most cases, people that have a tire tend to rate it well, it's a confirmation bias to support their decision to buy that tire. It applies to my daughter also, she has Ridge Grapplers on her 2dr Jeep and after finding how slippery they were in the rain, she tried to defend them for how good...
  17. Post your Positive offset aftermarket wheels +10 to +25

The +25 is a great fit with Squatch flares. And the +35 to +40 for non Squatch flares... Obviously poke is a personal preference, but I love that perfectly flush look. There are still a couple of the 17x8.5 +25 Roush R sets on eBay at the stupid low price ($180/ea)... And they are hubcentric...
  18. The Best Truck Tires, According to Experts (September 2023 review by C&D / RealTruck)

Like the Recon Grappler, I don't have any direct experience with the Nomad Grappler. It has a smaller range of sizes and the largest 17" tire is a 285/70R17. That's a good fit on a non Squatch Bronco and it's a P rated tire, so it should ride good. Nitto's wear very well, I would expect it to...
  19. Longest travel 2.0 and 2.5

Lots of good stuff out there... the ADS is a top choice. I have been running Falcon's and Metalcloak Rocksport on my Jeeps for years and the Falcon Bronco system has some potential too.
