This is the result of the confusing "build" then "reserve" system on Ford.com. People do not realize that, after they go through the build your Bronco process, the reserve system only puts in the 'default' configuration for their trim (which is a manual for Badlands) without any options they...
You ordered through Galpin? When did you convert the reservation to an order? I reserved 3 months ago, but Galpin refuses to convert it into an order until the MY22 order banks open up.
Just naturally, a brand new car, right off the assembly line delivered in June is much more desirable than one that sat for 90+ days, has miles on it from being driven back and forth, had things replaced, and was delivered in November/December. I think the take rate will be lower.
It's going to be very interesting to watch what these additional Broncos do to the market place. There should be 1,200 to 2,000 looking for new homes. The initial few might get a large markup - but by December, I don't see these MY21 selling for over MSRP - even here in LA.
I expect a lot of the Dirt Mountain Broncos to be refused by the original customer and available for sale at the dealers on delivery. I already had a dealer reach out to me with one that's someone decided not to to pick up when it gets delivered.
For me, not much. But this a shared family car, so it was these: heated seats, intelligent door access, backup assist, built in nav (don't allow smartphone usage inside the car - they go in the console while driving) and other safety features like pre-collision and lane keep assist. - We also...
I would have picked up the Black Diamond if the manual could be speced with the mid package. I ended up getting the default Outer Banks since it comes with the mid package.
this is number is high because the Big Bend, Black Diamond and Badlands default specs are with a manual - so, if you put in a reservation and never updated your order with the dealer, you are getting your favorite trim with a manual and no options - you can see all these show up on dealer lots...

You need to do your own thread on how you got a MIC SAS delivered 9/1/21 - what are all your dates (order, reserve, build) and what was your dealer allocation?
I own a 4 door Outer Banks (non SAS) - test drove a 2 door Wildtrack SAS mannequin for a few hours - night and day difference. 4 door on 32' tires is so much smoother - great for family trips.
ProTip: at the Vegas one, look for the Antimatter Blue one - unlike the Badlands and Wildetracks, this one is an OBX with the 360 and front camera. make sure to snag that one for the day.
I scratched the crap out of the rockrails, another guy popped a tire and scratched up the rims - they did not care - the are only concerned with major body damage - and that's hard to do, they guide you through all the tricky stuff - you would have to be negligent to cause it.
