Best mode is the "keep your foot out of it" mode. That's for any vehicle. I've found that every vehicle had a mpg sweet spot when it comes to driving speed.
I tend to drive a bit slower that most, which is closer to speed limit when on wide open roads out west where I live and drive.

I live about 40 miles south of Flagstaff. We load up with friends and have what we call "steak fries" .the girls make side dishes and well take grill . Dutch oven and cooler with copious quantities of adult.beverages. often some of the smokeables and edibles..lots of fun . No one there but us...
Yes with Bronco and also with my work truck..2500 Duramax up some of the crappiest road on earth going to communication sites.
My max speed is the speed of smell. 4 low in low gear for miles.
If you like lights then great..but lights are an issue for me.
