Ok ok, I'll just skip to the part where I explain the law you're probably referring to requires MANUFACTURERS to produce vehicles with three brake lights (center high mount stop light), but this doesn't require drivers to have it equipped/working unless their state requires it. California does not.

Wildtrack also appears to have lost its body graphics. Saw a two door in the new green at the dealer today, no graphics on the body just like the blue one at the top of this thread.
I usually remove the entire platform when I'm not on trips. It comes on/off easily with two ratchet straps through the spokes of the wheel, so it's not a big deal to use only when needed.
American Adventure Lab is working on one. So is RTR. But to be honest, a bumper mounted spare will be the best solution. Don't know how a company is going to do it without inhibiting the wide swing angle of our swing gate, but I'm keeping my eye out for a solution.
I never ride with ALL of these things at once (maxtrax, full rotopax, full roam box). I gauge what roads I'll be on and adjust accordingly. Sometimes the platform is empty and I just use it to bring maxtrax. Sometimes it's maxtrax and a fuel can, sometimes just the roam box. I'm waiting for a...
Thanks! I tucked the harness under the rubber weatherstripping across the top of the windshield, then ran it briefly down the rollcage with a couple zip ties, and then behind the a pillar and glove box. Does that make sense?
