I agree with you on that! And yeah Ford advertises it as 4x4 but I feel like itās more so an AWD. Iāve seen others argue itās a full time 4A as well. Iām not smart enough to know.
I mean I donāt think anyone would ever say the Bronco Sport is near as capable as the full size Bronco. But that also doesnāt mean that the Sport is not capable at all. There are some very impressive videos of people doing some nasty trails in them.
As far as feeling similar to the Escape it...
Totally agree with you. I had Big Bend Bronco Sport and even that trim was pretty capable with just some upgraded tires and small lift. I drove through 15ā+ of snow and had no issues at all even going up steep hills. Very impressive little cross-over.
Gave her a bath today to get the mud off from the trip. She cleans up well. šÆ Couldnāt stop smiling the whole time. Really loving my decision to trade in the sport for the full size!
Took the Bronco out on her first camping trip. No serious trails or anything but the path to get to our campsite was muddy, steep uphill, and very loose gravel. Obviously the Bronco handled that stuff no issues at all.
My buddy and his girlfriend drove his F-150 with BFG KO2ās up and at one...
Those little 3 bangers get some SERIOUS gas mileage man. I never got quite that much but Iām glad Iām not crazy!
With my current 2.3L Iām getting about 18 but I think that is mostly to do with the amount of city driving I have been doing⦠To and from work on my daily commute I am getting about...
Right after I sent that the pics loaded in my apologies... Looks really nice man. What did you think of the King Suspension? Once I pay off this wedding (š¤¢) I am going to start doing some mods and have seen these be used all over.
I have no opinion on if you should mod or not however the poll gave me good chuckle when reading "Do it and you'll get more waves" š I am interested though what all did you mod on your previous Bronco?
When I had my 1.5L Bronco Sport, I noticed a significant increase in gas mileage when I started using premium gas vs 87. Everything just felt smoother and more efficient (for lack of knowledge on a better way to explain it) and also knocking was significantly reduced.
While I have not filled up...
Good tires are by far the most important tool for off-roading AND driving in rough conditions (snow, rain, etc.) Those Wildpeaks look great on the steelies by the way! I can't wait until I get some beefier shoes on my Bronco.
If youāre not doing serious off roading no need for the rear locker. Also if you donāt plan on getting bigger tires/crawling, base gearing should be just fine.
Thatās the reason I went with a ā25 Base instead of BB or OBX with upgraded gearing. Donāt pay for things you donāt need or will use.
I live in NKY and get constant waves back from Bronco and Bronco Sport owners. If I had to bet (without knowing where youāre from/live) it is a location thing.
I got a crack within the first 3 weeks of ownership of my new Bronco however I also understood coming into it that that is the reality of box shaped trucks with upright windshields. I don't think that the rock chips people are getting has anything to do with Ford's windshield quality. Although...
The Bronco Sport was the same way. Even Bronco Sports that werenāt a part of a particular recall would have the issue being fixed by the recallā¦
What I will say is that while the recalls are very annoying and shouldnāt be happening anyway, I do appreciate that Ford is willing to admit to and...
