That could be. I wouldn't know because a ran new power (15 amp) straight from the battery to the the rear 12V outlet so I'd have the option of running my fridge off of the vehicle battery. It's worked without any issues through multiple backcountry trips.
brkdncr is correct. The USB will not provide enough power. I have a similar setup but with a GoalZero Yeti 500X. I charge the station from the 12V outlet in the back. Jackery has a charger specific for that. The Yeti lets me run power through it to the fridge (I plug the station into the Bronco...
I see you're running the Falken Wildpeak R/Ts. I'm leaning towards that tire for my 2 door. If you would, please share your thoughts about them. Thanks.
Wow. Something crazy is happening. That looks more like heat damage to me. Do you park somewhere where the sun could be reflecting and focused on your Bronco? Seriously, I've read reports where mirrored building windows focus the sun, much like a magnifying glass, and melt car plastic trim...
I'm looking to buy at least 3 OEM Black Diamond black steel wheels. Center caps and lug nuts are not required. I'll be using them for my home built camping trailer. I'm located in the Salt Lake City area but will am willing to travel a few hours to pick some up.
Please follow up with your report after running some harder trails. I'm curious as to how the narrow, E load tires do.
I too was in Moab last weekend. I saw your Bronco and watrboy's as well. I was running around in my 2-door cactus gray BD with a basket on the factory roof rails. I'm running...
I am interested in a rear cargo platform for my 2 door Black Diamond. However, what I'm really interested in is a sliding tailgate. My ICECO VL45 fits nicely behind the rear seats but takes up almost all the space. A cargo basket above it would be awesome, but only if I can slide the fridge out...
Already posted this in another thread but it fits the "oops" theme. No damage. A quick strap out of the washout, a few minutes of shovel work and we were on our way again.
Interesting. I get something very similar, but usually within the first few feet of backing while turning, and much less frequently within the first few feet of moving forward. It started right after the front CV axle was replaced (under the recall). I had my Ford dealership inspect it last time...
It felt like that at times too, but nothing like my 89 4Runner before that--especially when either a front or rear tire came back to earth from orbit (kinda like my brother-in-law's Yukon).
I did (1998 XJ Sport) and I still occasionally miss it.
In it's prime, it handled well on road and extremely well off pavement. Over almost 200K miles, including thousands of dirt road/rock crawling miles, it never stranded us and always got us home. My 21 BD 2 door Bronco is a fun vehicle, but...
Normally nothing....
Last weekend a cheap basket, 13 gallons of gas, a shovel, traction boards and a couple tarp poles. We even ended up needing the shovel to repair a washout across the road.
Labor Day weekend back country camping trip in Southern Utah.
Sunrise at camp.
Coming down the Flint Trail. My 15 year daughter was pretty proud of herself.
The "original" tear drop trailer (made out of a Hudson).
Be sure to get out and look at the small washouts. They are sometimes undercut...
Like many, the plastic cowl grille just below the wiper blades has warped on my 2021 Bronco. I called my dealer and they did not see any service bulletins or recalls for it. With almost 38K miles on my Bronco, it's also no longer covered under warrantee. I'll see if I can somehow get the clips...
