Not sure. I’ll take it to a local swap meet or marketplace. Or I might rig it up with lighting in the garage or something stupid. Start a wall of shame. 😂
I have a few other parts to sell too. Really not looking to ship anything though. Sorry, @Shane78
No, sir. Paid the original agreed upon price. I helped out because I felt bad he was eating labor, and because he’s a fixture in our car community and I respect him, but mostly because I always take the chance to learn something if somebody is willing to teach me. Apprentice habits die hard.
@ColeTrain84 Pro “hot-rod” paint shop. Really only does customs these days. Which is why this pissed him off so bad. The Grey paint reacts to other solvents and paints.. I’m not a paint guy, so don’t ask me about the science of it. I know some people have had success, I’ve seen the pictures...
Thanks, man. It was a process but no problems with the shop making it right. And I had fun today working in the shop and learned a few new things. So, win-win. 🤙
Went to the shop this morning and we knocked it out together. hooked up the new lighting and replaced the cowl I screwed up. no big deal, sh!t happens.
Sacrifice to the Bronco gods
(If anybody local wants to line x a badlands grill, dm me. I‘ll sell it cheap as-is)
Im with you, bro. In the end I’m sure it’s an error. He’ll 100% make it right. Just found it odd a shop that I was honestly embarrassed to take such a small job to, given the level of work they do, to hear it kicked his ass today. I know nothing of paint or the chemical engineering that goes...
I took a Badlands Grey/MIC whatever color grill to a reputable local paint shop. Got a call today that the new paint/primer made the grey paint bubble and separate. When he tried to sand it back down and address it, it etched the plastic and ruined the grill. A new grill is on order, which comes...
Bandlands, WT, FE Everglades
BL & EvG are Grey/MIC factory.
WT & FE is gloss shadow black
BB and OBX share a grill
Base and Black Diamond are a textured black
if ordered from Ford, they come unpainted.
IMO the factory base grill is the best looking and closet to the original.
Ford does that...
Looks so good. Great looking build all around. 👍👍
I have no idea why Ford is putting that grey/MIC color or anything but the top. Which is still barely tolerable.
I’m scheduled for paint in the next couple weeks.
Know the paint code for gloss shadow black?
I’m going satin the match the KMC...
