  1. Little Engine, Big Power: My 2.3L Bronco Performance Modification Build

Quick update: My charge temps are too damn high! Seeing temps peak around 165 degrees during a 1/4 mile pull. Timing is getting pulled, and I need a larger intercooler like something fierce. With the stock intercooler & 93 tune I'm still seeing an improvement over no tune, but my intercooler...
  2. Little Engine, Big Power: My 2.3L Bronco Performance Modification Build

Maybe so? I just chalked it up to typical manual shifting boost drop since I don't flat foot shift. The tuner enabled anti-lag in every mode and worked on the boost recovery a bit. Here's a quick video I did of a log I did for him on a farm road. A little slow shifting into 3rd, but the boost...
  3. Little Engine, Big Power: My 2.3L Bronco Performance Modification Build

Nice run šŸ‘šŸ» when you say torque management, what exactly is it doing? You might be talking about boost recovery, where after you shift real fast the turbo needs time to get back into full boost, so there’s a bit of a delay. I noticed that too, though the custom tune does help to alleviate that...
  4. Little Engine, Big Power: My 2.3L Bronco Performance Modification Build

Nice work! Do you have any idea what the elevation and DA was for the run? I'm not too far behind you on the stock tune on 93, but I live at low elevation and it was a really cold day with low DA. I keep forgetting about Dragy's AI picture thing like you posted. Here's mine - Should have the...
  5. Little Engine, Big Power: My 2.3L Bronco Performance Modification Build

Didn't get too crazy since the latest 93 tune isn't yet fully dialed in. Hoping to wrap up the 93 tune this week.
  6. Little Engine, Big Power: My 2.3L Bronco Performance Modification Build

Mostly for sound, as I really like how the plumb back model sound vs. the VTA model or the OEM one. You could argue the Turbosmart BOV has better boost handling and improved response, but I've never tested it or noticed it on my previous 2.7 build.
  7. Little Engine, Big Power: My 2.3L Bronco Performance Modification Build

Thank you! BRaptor headlights are plug and play.
  8. Little Engine, Big Power: My 2.3L Bronco Performance Modification Build

I take that back. My trans does have the sack of marbles sound like this Bronco in the video below, but it shifts fine and there’s no grinding at all. The BG fluid did nothing to fix this sound, as Ford considers it normal.
  9. Little Engine, Big Power: My 2.3L Bronco Performance Modification Build

4:46 seem to be fine TBH. I do think 4:70s would be optimal with 35’s, but not sure it’s worth the investment. I do plan plan on swapping the rear end at some point to have a rear locker. Might have to test drive a manual Sasquatch and figure it out.

    Yup, EMS does :) https://emsinc-tn.com/Shop/ems-engine-options/
  11. Little Engine, Big Power: My 2.3L Bronco Performance Modification Build

Thanks for the insight. I am aware about the potential for a CEL with the CVFab intake. I talked with @CVF-Jason and he said they are working on a replacement model that is due to release in March. If I have an issue, he said they'll send me a updated one for no charge. Also, their charge...
  12. Little Engine, Big Power: My 2.3L Bronco Performance Modification Build

That's a bummer. I looked at all the 4-cylinder centric Ecoboost tuners and Ryan was by the far the highest rated. His communication is awesome and we talked on the phone for 30 mins before we started the tuning process. I paid for my tune is anyone is wondering, btw. Not getting a freebie :)
  13. Little Engine, Big Power: My 2.3L Bronco Performance Modification Build

Shifts better when it’s cold. My transmission isn’t noisy so there wasn’t anything to improve there. I used the MGC additive as well.
  14. Little Engine, Big Power: My 2.3L Bronco Performance Modification Build

Oh, I wish I had an MPC motor. It’s too bad their ECUs are not cracked yet. Just hope it doesn’t take 4-5 years for it to happen 😩 When tuning opens up, they’ll rival the 2.7L in HP & TQ https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1CEAteK5Fo/?mibextid=wwXIfr
  15. Little Engine, Big Power: My 2.3L Bronco Performance Modification Build

I did. I have a HW4 2023 model and the latest FSD update is amazing.
  16. Little Engine, Big Power: My 2.3L Bronco Performance Modification Build

Hahah, I knew it was just a matter of time until someone made this comment. My daily is a Model S Plaid…doesn’t change the fact that I want a more powerful Bronco.
  17. Little Engine, Big Power: My 2.3L Bronco Performance Modification Build

Awesome! Ford Performance tunes are rather conservative for all of the Bronco engine options, so I expect a custom tune to be quite a bit better. I'm only on the 1st revision and it already pulls quite a bit harder, but we'll see how she feels when the 93 tune is wrapped up.
  18. Little Engine, Big Power: My 2.3L Bronco Performance Modification Build

He's going to limit the torque due to it being the stock motor. I'd have to double check with Ryan, but I believe the limit is between 400-425 lb-ft for this generation of 2.3L. I'll upgrade the clutch if needed, but we'll see how much the stock one can handle. The purpose of the upgraded turbo...
  19. Little Engine, Big Power: My 2.3L Bronco Performance Modification Build

The baseline video is completely stock with 93 Octane. Even before the colder plugs and exhaust. I'll do Dragy runs when 93 and E30 tune are finished.
