If there is a dealer (there wonāt be a factory option, at least for the first year) option for that, I wouldnāt be surprised if it requires Sasquatch, wildtrack, or badlands. The m190 front dif in the other models is significantly weaker, plus you donāt get a locking front dif.
That might be a factor, but the bigger thing is that the 2.7 has never been offered with a manual, and there are design and machining changes that need to be made to make an engine designed exclusively for auto usage compatible with a manual.
Ford probably just doesnāt have enough of a business...
I've never run into any issues running BFG KO2s in the Colorado Rockies on my f-150, and my plan after wearing out the factory mud terrains is to replace with some KO2s

Sure enough, looked it up and I stand corrected.
Not sure Iād want to tow 7000 lbs with one though..... I could see getting into a situation where the tail wags the dog a bit too easily, but then again Iām not terribly experienced with towing and have never gone above 3000#s ?
The zf5 actually has a lower torque rating than the 7 speed... (for the st-42, the s5-47 is barely higher than the 7 speed), also the zf5 has worse low gears than the mti550.
The reason the 2.7 isnāt being offered with a manual is because ford expects these engines to be tuned, and a mildly...
I was actually pleasantly surprised. Iām going with a 2 door, and a 3500# rating is well above the 2 door wrangler.
Even the full size Broncos were only rated for 4000# towing.
So knowing that this was based off the mid size platform with soft flexible suspension I actually had expected it...
So, are they going to be postponing orders too? Seems kind of rushed to have the configuration go live at the same time orders open up. With first delivery not starting until June, I donāt see why not to just postpone orders until January.
Itās definitely just a business case, and possibly software situation. You can get the entire package minus wheels and tires on the badlands (with maybe some minor differences in shocks/bump stops that wouldnāt affect or be affected by the transmission).
mechanically every individual...
Color isn't super important to me, probably because this is going to be my first car that isn't being bought out of necessity on the spot, so this is the first time I realistically get a choice ?
I would've loved a forest green type option, but doesn't look like that's in the cards for the...
Bummer, still no answers on the removable rear quarter windows ?
I really hope those are available on the base 2 door hardtop, it would be nice to pull those and the doors for an open air drive without having to pull the whole top.
@BroAD thanks for being willing to relay some questions!
could you ask them if the rear quarter windows will be removable on all hard tops, or only the painted ones?
(For context, in the initial press release they stated the rear quarter windows on all modular hard tops would be removable...
That antimatter blue looks like itās at just the wrong angle, so we are mostly seeing the reflection off the clear coat.
Iām pretty sure the windshield frame and maybe the hood are the only parts that are actually showing the paint color.
Now that it is displaying all tops as the molded in color, Iām wondering if the modular hard top is now going to be the standard one? (Though with a molded in color instead of painted)
Interestingly enough, the grey top still has the donut cutout over the rear seats, Iām guessing either a simple graphical error, or Ford is messing around with top options (In the configuration, not necessarily what will actually be available) in the background (which would explain why this...
The 2.3 actually has the tb on the drivers side. You can see it in the āparts picturesā package from the Bronco media page (The ones of the Sasquatch chassis)
Not gonna lie, I was previously set on the 2.7 (partially because itās the engine in my current truck), but the 2.3 is growing in me...
