Have you thought of divide and conquer?
Remove the blade key from the Fob and put it in a magnetic key box under the vehicle.
Leave the Fob behind in a faraday pouch, in a hiding place inside, probably not the console.
Or you could do as a buddies Dad did, hide the faraday pouch somewhere...
Followed up searching google street view. they are slowly posting sections. Was surprised to see that rusted shell of a truck is still hanging out in the Utah desert (Google Tatooine Sand Dune, and then go east to the first crossroads). Bummed they bypassed Warloop Road in Arkansas.
Congrat on the great finish.
And damn, you ran that in the dark?!?
having driven the DBBB (admittedly, I by passed the Mountain Springs mud mess), and half of the KAT, in the daylight and during rainless periods, I can’t imagine rumbling through some of those forest sections in the dark. I...
I drove the TAT in Aug/Sept of 2020 in my 2019 Ranger, started in western North Carolina I did very little planning, which is not a good idea, but it was the Covid era and I wasn't working, so off I went.
I purchased the route from the Sam Correro website - https://www.transamtrail.com/

To avoid any waiting in line at Arches main entrance, you could wander up 191 and a little past 313 is Willow Springs Road, the back way into the park. You enter the park at Balanced Rock. it’s an easy sandy, sometimes rocky road. Along the way is a marked stop to see dinasour footprints.

Domestic CFX28. Bought it in 2020 (REI 20% off sale) and then bounced it round in my pick up truck for 10,000 plus miles over 3 months. On road and off road plugged into a Jackery 240. Nary a problem.
We use it a couple times a year since. try to plug it in monthly to check on it. Still...
Decisions, decisions…love the look and practicality of this system.
I can’t remember the last time I drove in fog, so I think I will update the priority of items in my wish list.
Not sure you will get an easy patent on a trailer hitch skid plate. way too many on the market already. Here’s one that does have a handy dandy bottle opener.

First, change over-landing into adventuring.
As many have said, do some homework, start exploring, which will lead to learning and adapting.
maybe you aren’t meant to spend a week wandering a state running a BDR https://ridebdr.com/routes-overview/
Maybe you are destined for shorter...
Not Colorado, but Ohio, I got $14k off my Badlands lux non-SAS a month ago. It had been on the lot for 7 months and was loaded with leather, running boards, tow package and that much envied engine block heater.
Tried to buy a less optioned Badlands lux non-SAS from another dealer but it was...
