It’s actually not rough, it’s all smooth it out. It’s just bumpy if that makes sense. more like a pebble grain finish.

Here's the fix. Keep a iPhone cable handy, if you get a disconnect or just doesn't connect (wirelessly) all you need to do is plug in the cable for a moment, once it finds and recognizes CarPlay you can pull it back out and it's connected. It's a glitz in the latest version of Sync.

Do you have the 2 Door, cause that link is for the 4 Door. I have a 21 Bronco Badlands, says it fits, changed it to 22 still fits. Plus you can't pick Badlands, just B&O and amount of doors...
