Army vet, 4 years as EOD officer, 18 months in the 'stan OEF 2010-2011 RC South/East doing route clearance with the combat engineers. Living in VA now, hope to do some bronco meet ups when we all take delivery!
The only thing I'd say is we're not able to see what they have in the truck with them. Judging by pics from the other test vehicles there could be all sorts of garbage and crap in there with them jostling around. Not saying it couldn't be the car itself either though.
I actually think something like the cargo tray from the 4runner would be cool since you can load gear on it and slide it all the way in or out. Maybe even make it liftable a small amount so you have over/under space as well.
Honestly I think they made it as a place to sit and added in the "you can organize and maneuver gear on it" to spice it up a bit. The sliding cargo tray in the 4runner looks like the more logical solution for the getting gear in and out scenario.
Or better yet be easily removable. Think the 2 door will never be built more than the prototype and all the work went into the 4 door. Really want the 2 door, but they're making it harder and harder for me to justify the money I'm going to spend on something that wouldn't be able to handle...
From the sounds of it I'm going to have to grin and bear the two door, really don't want the 4. I doubt the rear seats will be easy to remove, can only seat 4, no rear cargo space, don't even know how flat the seats fold because it's some closely guarded secret still. Maybe they should've pushed...
Starting to get the feeling the 2 door was only meant to be a SEMA prototype to hype up the Bronco and all the work to make the thing more livable and useful went into the 4 door.
Ok....they haven't said yes or no to this so why not ask? I understand that it would make sense to build it that way, but they may not....should we not ask?
Sorry I missed it, my fault!
I meant will they be removable like a jeep or am I going to have to remove a bunch of bolts to pull them out. Not the biggest deal, but would be nice if they were designed to come out.
If you look at the left side (from our perspective) of the windshield of the AMB Bronco I think you get a better sense of what the color would look like in most conditions.
