Good luck! It's pretty simple to mount...I think I overthought things! I did watch a video from Stickerfab on mounting these mud flaps and he explained perfectly on how to remove the plastic fasteners, to gently turn the screw with no downward pressure and then the sleeve can be pulled out...
You bring up a great point!! Maybe I was doing it WRONG! I removed both parts; the screw and the sleeve! I the put the original sleeve through the mud flap then into the fender hole. I then inserted the original, which wasn't long enough, so the Autozone sleeve/screw worked because they were...
It worked! I went to Autozone down the street and I bought a six-piece 1/4" body nylon rivets, part number 479710! These are just a bit longer that the originals!
Hey, I just tried to install the front mud flaps and it's not working! The third point of attachment, where you use the original plastic fastener near the crash bar, did yours work correctly? Unfortunately, when I mount the flap to the steel mounting bracket, the third hole near the crash bar...
Did you use rust-resistant U-clip/bolts? I'm hoping to install my front mud flaps today. I purchased stainless steel bolts but I still have the U-clips I received from Mabett.
So did you leave the PPF uncoated? I have the factory-installed Ford PPF on the front portion of the hood and side panels. I plan to add Gyeon Pure Evo ceramic coating in the near future and I've read that only PPF-specific ceramic can only be applied to PPF! I have PPF-specific polish, but...
Did you replace the U-clips, too? Amazon just delivered the front mud flaps yesterday, and the U-clips look of good quality. So for the third bolt, down near the crash bar, are there threads for the bolt to grab on to or do I reuse the plastic fastener? As for replacing the bolts, I found that...
I just received my front mud flaps from Amazon, they look great! So it's just the bolts that I need to replace due to rust? What about the U-clips? They look of good quality! I found that Autozone has the both bolts and clips for a decent price!
To remove the rubber bumpers, did you just pull on the bumpers to take off, which would then expose the plastic fastener? I'm about to clay/polish/ceramic coat the rear door and want to take off the bumpers and then re-mount them once I'm finished with the process! Great photos!
How do you take them off? The screw just turns and turns! I'm want to take them off to clay/polish/ceramic coat the paint! I've watched spare tire delete videos, but none address the rubber bumpers!
