I just did my tranny fluid change at 80k. Fluid was burnt and filter was dirty.
I run mine hard… really hard. I recommend changing way earlier now haha
Do you have mounting options for the bronco? Preferably that don’t block removal of spare?
also, have you looked into factory integration with reverse and brake on the Bronco? I ask because the Bronco has two different wiring systems dependent on halogen taillights or the optional LED.
The 8112’s felt really nice in stock form for me on my buddies vehicle. He loves them still after a couple thousand miles. But again, shock feel is very subjective. One persons opinion will vary from another’s. A tuned 8112 would be super nice if done right. But again, you can tune soft or tune...
Very true. This video flattens it out but this guy is fully loaded and has his live valve shocks re-tuned and re-sprung. The whoops are what I consider medium. 2 feet deep at their max. He was doing 80 mph at one point watching him.
Not long travel of course, but massive improvement from factory...
id respectfully disagree on the whoops over 35. My standard bronco on ride shocks can do mid whoops at 60 mph. My buddy has the tuned live valve and freaking screams through the Baja whoops (in actual baja) a proper tune goes a loooong way.
My recommendation would be to just get your current live valve shocks tuned. There are a handful of companies that can do amazing things with the live valves.
No, I had the slipstream and had to remove it. Parts of it “fit”. The rear supports have to go though which severely weaken the entire design. Technically the top shelf portion still fits but you’ve lost the main supports. The entire rear wall with the pass through has to go as well.
Well it’s been awhile… since the trip, all the video files became corrupted by my daughter pulling out my flash drive while uploading. Everything got scrambled. Hundreds of video files out of timeline.
Since this trip, DirtyJed: my neighbor, friend and main wheeling buddy has passed on...
I’ve heard they are great! My buddy has em on portals and does a ton of rock crawling. No hi speed stuff. I think if you’re getting down to finding that slight felt difference between the too. Go with what looks better;) or has a warranty, or has great customer service.
I think Dobisons would...
I mean… I’d lie if I said I’d never used Affirm. But gosh darn it, it can be bad unless regulated. Stick to one payment at a time, treat it like a credit card and pay off asap. 0% interest is crazy good and if you pay it off in those six months, you’re golden. Basically a free loan
