I have no special insight into Ford but.... if I were a C-Level Ford person, I'd want to get the revenue I projected for next quarter fixed ASAP. Therefor, start pulling 1/2 and 3/4 built trucks that are sold OUT to get the cash IN. Maybe why I never got far in business.

My wife's 2021 Expedition got one of those at about 3K miles. "Well, it's not NEW anymore" (sigh) Took it to the local Auto Glass place, charged me $50. Got identical results to the OP. So, unless it was significantly less than that, I say "shrug".
