  1. Anyone had the auto-stop/start issues?

Has anyone just pulled the little plug on the + side of the battery? I saw a video of it being done and it disables the auto/start stop function. My only concern is ā€œis that all it does?ā€ 🤣
  2. What was your first Bronco accessory mod?

Mines a lease, but I did add the visor with the homelink for the garage doors.
  3. Flat towing gone wrong!

That’s exactly why I have a TPMS on my Bus. Of course, that still didn’t help my catastrophic transmission failure. šŸ˜ž
  4. Neutral Tow / Transmission Problem

I have towed mine back from Oklahoma to California starting the Bronco to keep it charged when we stop for the night. I had zero issues with it. We towed it to Truckee for a stay and had zero issues. I now have a charge line wired in and we are going back to Truckee in a week. I’ll update again...
  5. Neutral Tow / Transmission Problem

Enter accessory mode: Push the ignition button once without your foot on the brake. Depress the brake for approximately seven seconds. Put the vehicle in Park. Start the vehicle and put it in Drive and that’s what works for me. It has never failed coming out of Neutral tow.
  6. Neutral Tow / Transmission Problem

There’s obviously no rhyme or reason to whether it’s covered under warranty. I wonder if ours was covered because it’s a lease. I guess if they didn’t cover ours, I would just tell them to take their Bronco back and get out of the lease.
  7. Neutral Tow / Transmission Problem

They can check through the on board computer whether the vehicle was put into flat tow correctly. That was one of the first things they told me. That I did it correctly. If you left the accessory ā€œonā€ after completing the sequence, it WILL draw your battery voltage down to initiate automatically...
  8. Neutral Tow / Transmission Problem

if you have a charge line coming from your Motorhome it should be fine until you replace the battery.
  9. Neutral Tow / Transmission Problem

Be very careful if you don’t have a charge line. If you drive multiple days without charging the battery, you’re susceptible to the battery voltage dropping to where the electronics will shift the bronco into Park from Neutral and you’ll destroy the transmission.
  10. Neutral Tow / Transmission Problem

The flaw in the Ford "tow" system is that there is always a parasitic draw on the battery as the neutral tow feature is an electronic feature and will draw on the battery. Yes, the problem is solved by a charge line, but the system shouldn't be allowed to drop voltage to where the neutral tow...
  11. Neutral Tow / Transmission Problem

i would say parasitic draw. We towed for 5 straight days.
  12. Neutral Tow / Transmission Problem

The tech told me that would cause an issue with the Bronco going into park while being flat towed. The transfer case must also engage when the voltage drops that low.
  13. Neutral Tow / Transmission Problem

I am getting a charge line installed soon. I was doing the same thing on overnight trips. I'd start it up and let it run for awhile after taking it out of flat tow.
  14. Neutral Tow / Transmission Problem

I did not. I know there is parasitic draw. I may do that soon.
  15. Neutral Tow / Transmission Problem

I don't think you'll have the same issue with a manual as it is a "manual" and you would physically have to take it out of neutral. AFAIK, there are no electronics involved in that operation.
  16. Neutral Tow / Transmission Problem

I do. I did contact my rep at Ford HQ and he talked to a head technician who stated " the transmission defaults to park when the battery loses charge, so if being flat towed it would shift into park from neutral. " That’s the answer that I needed to hear.
  17. Neutral Tow / Transmission Problem

After 12+ hours of leaving my Bronco in neutral tow mode, there was only a minimal drop in voltage on the battery. It dropped from 12.75v to 12.33v. I’m happy with the results. The Bronco also came out of neutral tow mode with no issue, but I never saw the dash indicator that neutral tow was...
  18. Neutral Tow / Transmission Problem

No magic words. They did try to blame it on my AFO supplemental braking system until I told them it applies the brakes when I apply the brakes in the Motorhome. They confirmed that I did my sequence exactly as specified and mine is a lease. I have heard on the F150 forums, that when the battery...
