Tire rack has pretty great comparisons and “spider web charts” that compare every imaginable feature … Falken Wildpeak AT3W was the best balance for me. Bit pricier than KO2 and general grabbers that seem popular at their price point. But
Falkens are quieter and softer road ride which I valued...
The 4 door rear seat reclines about an inch which helps. Then it also puts you away from the cross bar. Our son hit his head on it during the 2 door test drive … finally hip room lets you sit with knees more diagonal, simulating more leg room.
It really is a world of difference… But I get the...
Agreeing with everyone on this problem. The rear is a trickle but only driver side. The footwell is laughable. And the side vents are like hair dryers.
I just kept pushing buttons of different configurations and eventually the sides shut off and feet improved a bit. But it’s a fight for random...
Great job, OP!
Odd question maybe because I may want to do this as my dealer didn’t click switches and we noticed after a VIN.
Can the leads be brought into your own fuse box? There’s lots of replacement auto fuse boxes out there. But I’m guessing the wires don’t terminate in a reachable...
Big bend, mid will be cheapest for your use. Add rims / tires aftermarket (dealer can order you the ford performance ones from the ranger and bigger tires… so you’ll never see it without them if you want). Don’t get the 2.7 engine. Only option you may want is the 4 wheel auto transfer case.
I...
I put much larger rims and tires and a 2 inch lift on an F150 fx4. Figured the fx4 off road model could handle it. It couldn’t. It EATS ball joints and tie rods. Which are not hard to do yourself but annoying to do every 2 years (and they don’t wear out together so you seem to be doing...
Looks great w/ your roast interior! Maybe a different thread color (tan or grey or blue… but if blue would need to be thin or less pronounced pattern).
I hate the stickers too. On the old fuzzy interior you could get them loose. I hoped to remove mine. Now I guess I will look for a cover.
I’d probably fill up on premium, run sport, and select “m” so I can shift. At least starting off / in town / hilly terrains. Once on the interstate, back to D and normal is fine.
What are you reading that I am missing? 34 inches off ground is only requirement (except passenger cars, which can be lower…).
I’m Not sure if it’s as visible from more than 45 degrees to the sides, but it’s legal and probably just as safe for 99.9% of rear ending situations.
Dumb question I’m sure but could one not mount just the switches on their current dome? I’d guess some custom wire pulling and latching the glasses holder better would be in order…. OR are the switches wired to a board or harness making the dome an assembly that must plug into the harness?
With variable timing, knock and oxygen sensors, there is no way you will get knock or any damage running the bronco in sport mode and flooring it constantly. Zero chance. The turbo is too small, spools too slow, the exhaust too constricted (keeps back pressure), and the designed compression...
I’d like to see how you mounted it. I didn’t get it because of the view. If it’s that good, I’ll get it and upgrade the front speakers and be done.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but doesn’t traction control detect the spinning wheel and brake it… thereby preventing the old “digging” problem of open diffs? And as long as the driver is competent and can accelerate smoothly (and sometimes drive with 2 feet) learn to get around “most” issues that...
Hey crew,
Looking at tons of bronze/gold wheels. Would love to see them on your rides to help me. I’m down to Method 305s or Fuel units. But would love pics of any. My backup options was to powder coat the steelies in bronze or other color. Followed by the Mayhem Warriors in black with milled...
What would be great is if they would let us soft top conversions buy a MIC at a reasonable price for all the headache. I’m willing to wait for it while supply catches up.
I’d guess the whole seat is currently unavailable to order (ask @flip).
I don’t mind the manual seat… it’s actually faster to slide back between my wife (all the way up) and me (all the way back) than my mustang that moves SO slow.
The heating pads themselves are cheap. Even from ford. My...
