  1. Seatbelt chime & favorites setting XM Radio

The seatbelt chime can be turned off by a series of special moves. I don’t remember what they were but no FORSCAN nor is it done through the sync settings screen. It was five clicks and press a button. But it worked for me but it took several tries.
  2. When to use 4A (AWD ?) vs. 4WD in snow?

On highway driving I would use slippery mode and drive as though you are on snow/ice. Light on the breaks and easy on the skinny pedal. Use the paddle shift (+ / -) on shift lever to gear down on down grades instead of riding your brakes. I have found slippery mode to work great on all highway...
  3. I'm New to Off-Roading, Which Rodeo Should I pick?

Can you expand on this? It might align nicely with the Sawtooth Valley Gathering (solstice weekend in Stanley)
  4. What did you do TO / WITH your Bronco today? 👨🏻‍🔧🧰🚿🛠

Went out to the forest to get a tree! Best $5 tree you can buy.
  5. How do you guys scout trails to use?

A few times a year onX offers a 70% off sale. It’s $30 for a year. It’s very useful to find trails, see trail reports and also helps with navigation while on rides. The paid version allows you to download maps so you can see around you without cell coverage.
  6. Baja Designs SAE Lens Swap

Alright....thank you for digging into the weeds on this one. The Montana state code on lights does not require fog lights to have any SAE or DOT stamp, marking, or certification. The only requirements are the position on the vehicle and how the light beam is directed. Most state codes I looked...

  8. Sort of New to Broncos

For $1600 you can DIY it. It’s not too difficult. On my 24 it involved removing the bumper and removing panel in the cargo area. I also have the slide out tail gate. Took about 2 hours and saved me about $1k.
  9. I'd like to share my experience regarding delivery by rail (in process) and want to hear your opinions.

My Everglades is my daily driver. After two years I still feel like I’m a 17 year old driver. Grinning every time I need to drive to work or the store. It’s very fun to drive and very capable of off-roading without any mods at all. I joined a local 4x4 club and went on some runs with them. The...
  10. Hoist vs Winch for Hardtop Lifting

I bought the harken hoist system. It’s manual but it doesn’t take much effort or strength to raise and lower it. Very easy to lower and raise with precision. I put tape on the floor to help line up my rear parking guides so I know I am in the right spot and straight. I made a mistake by buying...
  11. I'd like to share my experience regarding delivery by rail (in process) and want to hear your opinions.

Details from the sticky above: There are two major rail companies. CSX is everything east of the mississippi UP is everything west of the mississippi But they all start out on CSX so once they have it in their system they will follow it all the way. So, how do you track your truck on a...
  12. I'd like to share my experience regarding delivery by rail (in process) and want to hear your opinions.

If you get your rail car number you can call the automated rail tracking number and it will tell you the progress of the most recent city your rail car passed through and the time. I think mid September is about right. There will be a delay from the rail car to ship to the dealer lot. Probably...
  13. Brake System, Hill Assist, Service Advance Trac, Pre Collision Assist Issues

I’ve seen these warnings pop up once or twice. Never had any issues that I noticed while driving. It’s probably a nothing burger. Turn off and turn back on and the errors never came up again. I have found that disconnecting the battery terminal for 20mins or more resets the modem. Getting...
  14. Recommend tire pressure for logging roads?

I don’t know if this was mentioned above but a rule of thumb I use and abide by is double your air pressure to get your max speed. 18psi = 36mph 20psi = 40mph 25psi = 50mph Low pressure (<18) at 50mph will build a lot of heat /friction to your sidewalls. Think of bending a piece of metal back...
  15. FORScan Bronco Working Spreadsheet (double honk, sport mode, chimes, seatbelts, and more!)

For those of you using a Mac with FORSCAN I was able to use an app called Crossover which allows you to run the FORSCAN on a Mac (no bootcamp, windows license, or partitions required). It was somewhat technical but if you are diving into FORSCAN this should get you prepped. This tutorial helped...
  16. Hard Top quick remove fasteners don't fit all locations.

I’ve taken my top off once. I remember that not all of the fasteners need to be removed to get the top off/on. Maybe the one that doesn’t fit doesn’t need to be removed.
  17. [Resolved] "Vehicle's Modem is not responding to activation connection" per FordPass Customer Service

Try disconnecting your negative terminal on the battery for 20-30 mins. Then reconnect , turn the engine on and see if that helps. Mine wasn’t connecting to the modem and this resolved the connection issue.
  18. Software update February 14-15, 2025

Let me know if it brings back my rolling rocks start up screen and I might consider it.
  19. ABS disconnect

I had this same error code light up sequence: Advance Trac not wworking Hill Start Assist not working ABS error Collision Assist not working ( pretty sure I don’t have collision assist) I drove off and everything functions as it always has. If I jump on the brakes on ice I feel vibrations in...
  20. How can I protect 4WD from my dog?

If the inside had a slight taper or bevel so it could fit snug enough to stay on but the height would allow the driver to change goat modes. That would be slick. I would love to buy one if you get one dialed or help with prototype testing. My dog hits these buttons sometimes. I just pay...
