I made all my techs throw away their torque sticks,too many issues with using them,even supplied the front desk advisors with a torque wrench to double check before releasing vehicles.
Loosely install the remaining bolts and studbolts.
Tighten the studbolts in a crisscross pattern.
Torque: 12 Nm (106 lb.in)
Tighten the bolts in a crisscross pattern.
Torque: 10 Nm (89 lb.in)
Install the LH and RH heatshields and the retainers...
As a Ford dealer tech doing mostly warranty repairs I've been on the 32 hr a week train for 25+years ....... hey wait a minute my bosses have it backwards work 44+hrs get paid 32!
I've done many of these updates most modules update quickly and if you have to program APIM can take 6 hrs+(if ford server doesn't crash like usual),if no problems noticed on your vehicle you should be good.
This week will be the first replacement on my 21,it’s gotten so badly cracked and sandblasted that you’re blinded by the morning sun.hopefully something such as this will prevent future cracks(mine got 2rock chips in first week)
