I know in motorcycle racing there are classes where you have to run "DOT" tires...which where slightly modified slicks with minimal tread to satisfy DOT. I roadraced for 8 years with WSMC, AFM and WERA.
Same here in Cali....can only find 91 which I run in my 2.3L ecco.....The motor is designed to run a variety of octanes (mapping takes care of it I assume)....
Yeah it is annoying but thankfully I am in so cal where its not that big of an issue. Was up in zero degree weather last week and it also was not a issue though i had my asolo boots on!
Glad to hear that everyone was okay....but dam that is such a sad sight....I had to go out and hug my bronco and tell her how much I love her and no matter what she will always be with me!!!
I have the badlands, Mid Package...and totally happy with the options and my head did explode!! It was 59K minus my 5k trade in so $54k......its got all the disconnect sway and a bunch of other things though no bead lock rims which was not that big of thing as I am not a rock crawler...yet!
I agree while it may be bad ass I prefer my bronco......also I am not a offroad racer so why? I would love though the V8 option in my bronco for no other reason than I like power.
