  1. If you had to start your build over, what's the first mod you'd grab?

I agree with others on this list: Fix the basic Bronco errors first: Gas struts for hood Gas struts for rag top Protection for vulnerable plastic under carriage bits Mud flaps if you have rock-chucker Territory tires Fix the interior lighting Now you are ready for serious off-road mods
  2. Questions about the “shifting button”

If you shift from M to D while at higher RPMs be prepared for a big clunk. If you downshift while in M be prepared for a few seconds of free-wheeling! Very disconcerting when using the M mode to manage downhill speed!
  3. Anyone mount a radio under the seat?

Just be sure the connectors on each end are wired like the ā€˜official’ connectors or you will let some of that legendary, all-important smoke escape from the head!! It doesn’t matter for Ethernet applications but yours is different. Ask me how I know……..
  4. Anyone mount a radio under the seat?

That’s good news for the OP. My Yaesu FTM 400 is missing this important feature.
  5. Marsh Gray Colour Can people post pictures

Chocolate Mousse is a better name
  6. Anyone mount a radio under the seat?

Be very careful with any cable extenders. The provided heat-to-base cable may not be long enough and ā€˜barrel’ connectors will flip polarity. This is death to a Yaesu control head. You may not have to extend the mic cord with an underseat base mount? Too bad Yaesu doesn’t put a mic jack on its...
  7. Last Chance Canyon, Randsburg, Jawbone Canyon OHV

A lot of desert life/mining memorabilia. Survival in a bleak environment. https://www.google.com/search?q=bickel+camp&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en-us&client=safari#ebo=0
  8. Adaptive Cruise Control

The ACC is a major disappointment on my BADSAS Lux Bronco. Sad that Ford can’t get it right on a $70k vehicle. My low end 2018 Honda has an ACC that works perfectly in stop and go traffic-slows to a stop and resumes moving when traffic resumes-no action required by me; its Lanekeeper also works...
  9. Is an electric Bronco in the works for the US market?

Or carry a spare 5 gallon jug of electrons
  10. ACC and pre-collision not working

(edited) As a space systems engineer, I am amazed that it works at all in your position!! It is a radar based application-they don’t like looking through media with varying dielectric constants (like a hole-laden grill) Ford rightfully placed it in an unobstructed location-it is just the wrong...
  11. Last Chance Canyon, Randsburg, Jawbone Canyon OHV

Also be sure to visit the Bickel Camp Museum while in the area.

  13. PTYYDS Hood Insulation Pad: Quiet the Ride, Protect the Paint

My ā€˜23 BL non-sas had hood insulation. My ā€˜25 BL SAS does not. A bit surprising šŸ™ but then again not surprising šŸ™šŸ™šŸ™
  14. Burst (Swollen) Rear Camera

That picture confirms my original hypothesis. A hydroxide of some sort penetrated a damaged covering. Seawater is a common source.
  15. Most Annoying Bronco alert

I actually like the LKA feature that shakes the steering wheel. Really helpful on long boring straight stretches when the mind wanders. But my MY25 LKA doesn’t do it like the MY23 did; the dashboard icon lights up but no other response. I have tested it on every possible combination of roads and...
  16. Burst (Swollen) Rear Camera

Looks like something swollen from the inside expanded the plastic cover. Have you had it an area with sea water? If there were a crack in the plastic housing and sea water got inside I would expect to see effects like you have from hydroxide intrusion?
  17. Focus on reliability, performance, and self recovery

Ditto on the air compressor. If it has a 20A (or smaller) fuse you will not be happy when airing up 35ā€ SAS tires from 20psi. The MY25 Bronco has [slightly] improved interior lighting with dual lights for rear seat and cargo areas. Depending on where/ how the upgrade lights are interfaced with...
  18. Tried turning off Auto start/stop with Forscan with the 2025 Badlands

The Amazon write-up states that it is not compatible with the Badlands option? Any idea of what is so unique about a Badlands that prevents its use?
