The dealer I bought my Bronco from did not add the AUX switches I ordered so I came up with a solution. I bought the relay/fuse box off amazon and plasma cut a bracket. A few bends later and here ya go!

It could be a bad voice coil and when you turn it up the woofer moves enough to play. You may need to bring it in. Other than the woofer coil, it could be the amp. Either way you may need to take it in.
If you pillar mount the tweeters, these are a nice set for the money...

I am having this problem on my 2 door, it is too slow to roll down and catches the rubber at the top when you pull. I have to warn passengers to hold the door and wait for it to drop before they pull. The dealer said its "normal"
Good info to know, thanks for posting. I found this out today when I got in and started it to test out my new audio system and had the back passenger panel off (sensor unplugged) the dash said no key detected.
I tried this same method and all worked but now my amp turns off and on whenever it wants. Not sure what went wrong. Have you had any issues with your tr4 operating?
