  1. Great outing with a couple first-timers (including a Bronco Sport) for 50 miles of dirt

Ah, so you guys were near the Coast Ranges, never been to those unfortunately. I hear there's some pretty country in that area. No worries, not a whole lot that can be done about the audio with the top down unless you want all the extra hassle of a mic or voice over.
  2. PSA: Beware of paint on spare tire wheel bolts of the Bronco Raptor

Torque is all that's ever necessary to keep lug nuts secure, provided you torque to spec. I doubt there's a single reputable manufacturer painting threads for the purpose of fastener retention, as there are a multitude of other ways to secure fasteners that are more reliable and consistent than...
  3. Great outing with a couple first-timers (including a Bronco Sport) for 50 miles of dirt

Looks like a nice relaxing ride out in the country, is that in the Sierra Nevadas? Had a bit of a hard time understanding what you were saying in the beginning though, could barely make out your voice over the engine noise.
  4. Steering rack bushings cheap options and alternatives. Reviews pending!

It might be helpful for someone who's certain that their bushings are installed properly to do a measurement with a depth gauge to either the snap ring or the bushing from the edge of the housing. That way other people could reference that when they're installing their own bushings and verify.
  5. Total loss... 🤦🏼‍♂️ Engine bay fire burned down my Bronco

Next time maybe add a little bit more of a condescending tone, it'll help you win arguments better on the internet.
  6. Single best modification you've made on your Bronco!?

You're already carrying at least 17gal of it with you and your family regardless. Mounting a jerry can or two isn't unsafe, tons of Jeeps and Broncos have been doing it for ages.
  7. Total loss... 🤦🏼‍♂️ Engine bay fire burned down my Bronco

You're arguing that coolant fires are possible to one of the few people in the thread that said coolant fires are possible. It's an order of magnitude less likely in a Bronco than a Cat, given how much more heat the Cat manifolds can hold, but I never ruled it out...it would just have to be a...
  8. Single best modification you've made on your Bronco!?

I dunno, choosing the flat tow over the double honk would mean you'd just be bringing that dumpster juice of a setting everywhere you go, rendering you unable to even take a relaxing vacation away from it. Tough call my dude LOL What kind of tow bar and whatnot are you using?
  9. Injen intake installed on 2.3 Bronco

Gotcha, just making sure I didn't miss something important LOL I bet the snorkel for this would push that IAT even closer to ambient.
  10. Injen intake installed on 2.3 Bronco

Seems like it's still getting its air from the same place as OEM, so wouldn't they both have a similar IAT?
  11. Mabett products, buyer beware.

This speaks volumes of the quality. We all know why these products are cheap and how they can stay in business selling them, but not everyone understands what caveat emptor means. Expect that your parts are going to need work or won't be on the same level as a similar product that costs 5x as...
  12. Injen intake installed on 2.3 Bronco

Do you have any pics of this from the side, either driver or passenger? Curious if it'll clear my ARB compressor. Also, any info on the snorkel? Sort of, but not quite. You'll see a small increase in power without any kind of tuning, simply because the engine and turbos don't have to work as...
  13. Total loss... 🤦🏼‍♂️ Engine bay fire burned down my Bronco

No way, is that the one just south of Findlay? In 2021 I called the Hancock county sheriff's office to report a car fire that had just started on the north side. It looked like it was a 90's era red Ford Exploder from what I could see of it. That's certainly good advice. From an electrical...
  14. Redrock vs Havoc Off road rock sliders ?

I got the steel version because I expect to use them a lot, and I decided on these because they were smooth and didn't have many spots to snag a rock on. The quality itself is great, install wasn't terrible (I did it all myself but I'd imagine some help would make it go quicker), and it's...
  15. Long term reviews on Eibach Stage 1 and Stage 2 lift kits and my recommendations

Did you pick it up Probably worth $1200-1300 these days
  16. Total loss... 🤦🏼‍♂️ Engine bay fire burned down my Bronco

Gotcha, yeah that'd be a great way for BD to give back to their customers. So tell me, what part of this did you not read? "It would have to be a rather large heat source with a direct path to the leak, such as a leak spraying directly onto a turbo or manifold, but again, with as rapidly as...
  17. Redrock vs Havoc Off road rock sliders ?

I picked up a set of JCR sliders, frame mounted. From the pics it looked like they hugged the rockers a lot closer but when I got them installed they stick way the hell out there. That's great if you're using it as a step, but I wanted something more low profile/high clearance for the rocks...
  18. Total loss... 🤦🏼‍♂️ Engine bay fire burned down my Bronco

Just checking, seemed like a pretty harsh response given that their products likely had nothing to do with the fire.
  19. Total loss... 🤦🏼‍♂️ Engine bay fire burned down my Bronco

Everything okay at home, my dude?
