  1. How many miles are on your gen6 Bronco?

Finally somebody who drives their Bronco. My wife's has 20,974 and she picked it up November, 2024. She will be out of base warranty before 16 months old and her yearly mileage will increase likely averaging 30k miles per year in the future as she hasn't been doing her normal western...
  2. Base vs Big Bend, what am I really missing?

Interesting, in '24 we bought a BB specifically as none of the other trims had any features we were interested. We added a package to get heated seats, but otherwise everything else was appearance or off-road and no actual features/technology. Note: They did change content quite a bit...
  3. The allure of the soft top....

Our dogs have jumped out of sunroofs and could easily jump out of an open roof. They can be insane as I've had them jump INTO open car windows. Border Collie and a Australian Shepherd.
  4. What I hate about my Bronco, you? (edit) Or maybe I should have called it "What would you want if you were designing it"

Obviously I know the arrow, but having to look each time is annoying. With reverse as soon as my hand touches the stick based on feel I almost never have to look down. Door unlocking is also a difference between the vehicles. How many clicks gets all doors open? I know that can be...
  5. Base vs Big Bend, what am I really missing?

We do a draft. We both have to throw out 2 names. You either get to provide 1st and 4th OR 2nd and 3rd. Once 4 names are out there, 2 provided by each of us the decision is usually obvious or at least we are down to 2 and and one of us will be able to sell the other. YOUR WIFE MUST HAVE...
  6. What I hate about my Bronco, you? (edit) Or maybe I should have called it "What would you want if you were designing it"

Thanks! I went into the garage and tried and sure enough it worked in reverse and then forward back into the garage. I was going to surprise my wife, but I couldn't contain my excitement. Putting it on parking is less annoying than taking it off.
  7. Finally! My ‘25 Bronco is here.

Nice! Sent the roof pics to my wife to see if she turns blue with envy, although your vehicle is safe as she'd never drive an automatic.
  8. What I hate about my Bronco, you? (edit) Or maybe I should have called it "What would you want if you were designing it"

For the 7MT crowd this has to be the #1 dislike. It is the hardest transition I have when switching vehicles beyond where reverse or which side fuel door. The stick/clutch itself is quite tolerable which is surprising given the fact it is our first American car.
  9. The allure of the soft top....

    You have good taste.
  10. Base vs Big Bend, what am I really missing?

It is her Bronco as I prefer cars. She put 230k on her 2012 XTerra I figured she deserved whatever she wanted. I am always pleased when she answers questions directly vs. "I don't care" or "Whatever you want" where I know it will lead to future trouble. It took probably 25 years of marriage...
  11. Base vs Big Bend, what am I really missing?

Manual or automatic? With the 7MT and being a pavement princess only the heated seats is required as you are also in the upper midwest. I asked my wife what she wanted and it was manual transmission, heated seats, and 4-door in that order. None of the other options even remotely interested...
  12. Hard time selling bronco?

We have a '24 non-Sas Big Bend with the 7MT. That is a hell of a discount for 8k miles as I see $54k for the current '25 Sas Big Bend. When we were looking in early fall 2024 the price off of new for any available 7MTs was maybe $5-$7k less not nearly $20k. At $10k off we might have a...
  13. The allure of the soft top....

This seems to be a long-term policy as it is on the Wrangler forum as of July, 2019. Seems like some soft top rolled over and the owners sued U-Haul. Our litigious society has ruined a lot of things. I think my wife's hadtop Big Bend is fine/quiet on the highway. It is very similar to our...
  14. What I hate about my Bronco, you? (edit) Or maybe I should have called it "What would you want if you were designing it"

https://bronco6g.com/forum/threads/first-2024-bronco-photos-rear-cupholders-more-photos-suspension-interior.87234/page-4 looks like there is a thread about it. It sounds like if you didn't have the LUX package you didn't get the rear seat cupholders until 2024. I have a 2024 Big Bend MGV so I...
  15. What I hate about my Bronco, you? (edit) Or maybe I should have called it "What would you want if you were designing it"

You are probably right that there is something wrong with it. We've driven similar with my first manual being a 1993 Honda Civic which was absolutely the best vehicle I've ever owned. Having driven so many manual miles the stick either feels right or WRONG. It does sound like you have less...
  16. How to prevent wife from smashing soft top?

I was thinking of that as it is the common way if you have a bike rack on top of your car to put the garage remote in the bike bag that way you can't open the garage. There are no good solutions that I can come up with.
  17. What I hate about my Bronco, you? (edit) Or maybe I should have called it "What would you want if you were designing it"

What kind of manuals have you been driving? We came from almost 100% Japanese Isuzu-Nissan on the SUV side and Honda-Nissan-VW(yaargh) on the car side for 1M miles between us. Both of us had a super easy transition to this stick and I haven't heard anything from my wife concerning the stick...
  18. The allure of the soft top....

Thanks for the feedback. We are in Chicagoland and bought her dual top Bronco in November so this is our first summer. She likes the "idea" of having the soft top on, but we haven't put it on. I can't do it by myself although it is possible for a single person do it. I am thinking if it...
  19. Finally! My ‘25 Bronco is here.

She has a 2.3L as she has the 7MT. No automatic trannys in our household! The extra doors are for the dogs as they don't ride in the tailgate and we only transport more than 2 people once a month at most.
