I had a shorter stroke one and the rod end broke as the tailgate swung open once, making for a bad result.

It’s the full size tire carrier; my powdercoat flakes off is my ONLY beef. The powdercoat of the upper shelf is much more robust. Maybe i picked the wrong one for the harder use. Would buy again. I don’t love the weight of the roam 95l case and the rugged mounts - awesome for taking case on/off...

How does the turn signal chevron enablement work? Any way to do that?

I would add RTR - mine has been fantastic— lots of adjustability for larger diameter tires (I’ve got 37s), and mounted a farm jack, and Jerry can to it. I also use it with an American Adventure Lab spare tire carrier.
