The electric brake is used in some of the driving features, hill start assist, descent control, TTA, etc. A manual ebrake wouldn't allow for that. OK, you can do TTA with a cutter brake. :giggle:
I use mine all the time, especially off road, get into a wonky situation, set the brake and lean...
Removing the swaybar will have a pretty noticeable effect while turning, particularly while braking or accelerating, and will definitely make the rear feel relatively stiffer. That shouldn't have any effect while going straight as the bar shouldn't be doing anything in terms of wheel rate...
Almost every vehicle I've owned had something about it that made it fun to drive. They're all different though. The only one I never liked or had fun with was a 1976 Dodge Aspen with a slant six. Hated that car.
It should be noted, I never "owned" any of the race cars I drove. Formula Fords are...
Out of curiosity, do you have prior experience in SRA vehicles? The fact that they transmit road bumps to both wheels can make them act like they're sprung too stiff. i.e. feeling "loose" on rough roads, or the rear dancing on washboards.
Mine actually feels quite soft to me on the street.
It...

There's a dark history there.
Where I am the police are the only entity other than a prosecutor who can subpoena phone records, so, if they are needed they have to act on the demand.
Sure glad everyone is OK.
These days it's a good policy to have the police pull the cell phone records on both drivers. Not only does it find out if there was a distracted driver, it also shows that you were not.
Unless I'm mistaken, the computers on many newer cars can be checked to see what...
Call me crazy, but based on the description in post #1, OP is at fault in this crash. Sounds unambiguously like a case of not leaving enough following distance. The first car getting cut off could be the cops fault, but the second following driver is 100% responsible for what their bumper hits.
There are questions, what state?, What is your insurance company? What is his insurance company, what does the police report say? The approach changes depending on those answers.
70 on a surface street is a felony, no?
No fault states screw the victim every time. If you're in one of them hire...
I found an article posted on this very board from Maximum Motorsports, written by Jack Hidley. It will be difficult to find a more reputable source of suspension engineering information. He made the point that wheel spacers are not going to be dangerous, in that your wheel isn't going to fall...
Many modern brake pads, (especially OEM), have a tendency to squeal after a lot of brake dragging activities, like driving in traffic or off-road. It's the brake dust building up. I've tried a lot of different pads over the years, unfortunately I've found that the pads with the least squeal and...
Agree, I can make the 2.7 Bronc get as little as 14-15 mpg driving around town by romping on it, on off throttle abruptly, etc. Most of the time when I drive like an adult, I'll get close to 19 mpg. On the highway, set the cruise at 5 over and the mileage can be around 21 mpg if you're not going...
I use 2wd Baja mode all the time. It's crazy fun in deep sand washes and you can dirt track it a bit on hard pan dirt. (Not recommended for inexperienced drivers as flipping is a real possibility)
It does still say off road only when you select the mode. I would imagine that means if something...
