Dealer couldn't tell me if it was covered under gold certified warranty or not and to contact Ford, but stated it would be $4k to do all four windows if it wasn't.
Contacted Ford and they told me to contact the dealer and they would determine if it was covered under warranty or not. Pathetic.
The same customer service rep at ford warranty services that couldn't tell me if it was covered under warranty or not offered to give me a list of dealers in my area. Apparently it's the dealer, not ford that gets to decide.
Going in today for an evaluation. We will see what shakes out. Gonna try to get an answer on the rattling windows while I'm at it. The heated steering wheel also quit working.
I swore off ford almost 2 decades ago due to how they treat warranty and recall issues. The bronco was enough to sway me back. Disappointing to see not much has changed.
I'd like to buy a hard top, but the MIC debacle has basically steered me towards the aftermarket versus trying to find one...
I've been kicking around the idea of getting one of these. It's expensive, but in comparison to other options, it's still the cheapest and one of the best looking options (IMHO). It's priced around what used factory hard tops are going for if you can find one, and doesn't have the MIC issues.
I can't remember who it was, but another member was able to get a "reimbursement" from Ford for parts/labor due to upgrading prior to parts for the recall being available.
Most recent version I could find during a 2 minute search. I wouldn't think that would change that much. At the end of the day, it still comes down to the dealer doing their job to begin with, how much the dealer pushes, and factory discretion. It's always best to get documentation of...
According to this, the dealer is supposed to record date/mileage at the time of the initial complaint, then use the same date/mileage for the repair request once parts are available.
Glad to see that some people are getting replacements, even if the reservoir is still attached. Makes me hopeful that I won't just get the bandaid when I take mine in.
I have not done anything with forscan. I have heard mixed results when changing forscan settings with the B&O system. Everything from its not necessary/does nothing, to its life changing.
I think the bigger difference (if I am to believe what I read) is with forscan changes to the base system...
Just added SSV pods with Kicker KS 6.5's to the factory B&O system. They still sound thin when faded all the way to the rear, but when blended in with the front and powered sub, there is a definite bump in volume and middle frequencies compared to the B&O. It's a noticeable improvement, but...
Those are it . KR Offroad offers a similar option that is a little cheaper. I did have to enlarge the lightbar holes on the SPV mounts to fit the lightbar bolts. Not a big deal if you have the tools. Every light bar is going to be slightly different in overall length and bolt size. Mine was...
It very well could be. It sits about 1/4 of an inch higher than mounting directly to the bumper. Not enough that I would have thought would make a difference, but here we are. I'm sure single versus double row would also come into play depending on which model of light you choose.
Thanks to some brackets from SPV, I was able to install a 30inch lightbar on my modular bumper while retaining the push bar. Great for seeing those giant potholes in the Costco and Starbucks parking lots at night.
When using the 360 camera, part of the light bar shows up in the image...
I tried the rough country muffler delete on mine for a few weeks. In sport mode, it had a really raspy/farty output in the mid -upper RPM's, and the drone was pretty noticeable. I'm used to loud exhaust, but the overall tone of the delete was annoying and unpleasant.
I had a vibrant...
