I have used many plugs through the years with good results, but I did have one on a trailer tire that resulted in the belts separating ruining the tire. I was surprised but it was obvious, it did take some time to show up. I think I use plugs because they are convenient. Jim.

Ryan, yes it's complex. I originally thought before I bought the winch if it had a 45* throw to disengage I could just use a pto cable by itself. In fact I bought the cable before the winch got here. When unboxed I found it needed 180* to disengage! Back to the drawing board. This has worked out...
