I did a rough country muffler delete on a 2.7. Too farty in higher rpm's and too much drone in lower rpm's. I had a vibrant performance resonator installed in addition to the muffler delete and no more fart or drone. It's never going to sound like a V8, but I'm happy with it and have had raptor...
I would be happy with the current styling, but with a fixed roof with a large panoramic/retractable section that doesnt leak and creak, a tailgate instead of a lift or swing gate that has a retractable rear window, and a 3.0 or 3.5 V6 with no hybrid BS.
Glad it worked. Hopefully they use the updated window tracks going forward. Unfortunately for myself, it's not worth the qouted $2150 to fix it. But that's still better than the original $4k I initially recieved.
I dont think Ford makes bad vehicles. They just handle it very poorly when they have an issue. It shouldn't take NHSTA to get involved, but that's why Ford has ten times more recalls than any other manufacturer this year. A government agency had to step in and force them to fix issues that...
This is why they just need to give everyone the MOD top as a replacement instead of bandaiding the issue with MIC replacements. Even at supplier pricing, this has got to be costing FOMOCO a small fortune.
Non-raptor model here.....but the camera software recall on mine disappeared after the OTA update that occurred a few days ago. Heated steering wheel quit working right at the same time though.
I might be in the minority, but i actually like the lack of side windows. You can't really see out them anyhow, and their absence may cut down on some of the wind noise.
Anyone with any long term feedback on these? I travel for work and need to be able to have phone conferences. The soft top isn't cutting it.
Trying to decide if I should bite the bullet and get one, or just use the money on a different vehicle.
The boots only purpose is to retain the reservoir in the event of failure and limit liability for ford in the event it were to fall off and become a projectile/road hazard.
That's interesting. When i contacted the dealership where I bought it from today (which isn't local) thinking that maybe they would be more helpful since they handled the sale, they told me they would have to check with Ford and get back with me🤷♂️.
Maybe that's just dealer code around here...
It wasnt an entry level customer service tech.......but anyhow......any warranty service i have ever encountered, regardless of manufacturer, required manufacturer authorization. So while I disagree that warranty coverage is up to the dealer, I do agree that it's up to the dealer to...
Easy to say, but in the area I live in, there are basically 3-4 big names that own all the various manufacturer dealerships across a 150 mile radius. I wouldn't trust the first dealership to change my oil. This one was closer to home, but didn't want to even bother to check if it was covered...
