  1. Is the new Bronco a "classless" vehicle?

Careful with this line of thinking. Personally, if I know somebody is paying a $1k/month car payment, I'm not putting them in the "must be a high income baller" bucket. These days with insane 84 month financing, there's a whole lot of people who buy a whole lot of car because they "can." Not...
  2. Best Bang for Your Buck Trim Level

Base for sure, if we're talking 2dr.
  3. Base Model Bronco Thread

Agree. Going with a base 2dr at 30K (or closer to 35 with 2..7/auto) won't get you anywhere near what putting 35K into a FWD crossover gets you, in terms of tech, gadgets, amenities etc. BUT, you get a true framed out *actual SUV* that will still be useful and desirable long after that Mazda...
  4. Anybody else getting over the initial hype?

Very possible. For me, I could definitely envision talking myself out of it after having about a year to go without car payments and a growing pile of down payment cash that I might rather deploy elsewhere. But if I go this whole 12-18 months still wanting it despite knowing how silly it would...
  5. Anybody else getting over the initial hype?

I'm actually glad there's a prolonged wait. I'm a very practical/frugal person and typically very conscious of my financial decisions. I'd normally think buying a $40K vehicle is for rich or dumb people. But then I saw the Bronco. And put in a reservation. So the wait gives me time to save cash...
  6. Questions that don’t deserve their own thread thread

Also interested in this. Since there is no frame on the door, I assume the window is engineered to snugly fit into its frame when the door closes and the pressure from the door's latch will create that seal. But that does make me wonder how reliable this seal would be over time.
  7. Ford wants your Bronco questions - Post it here

I've seen these things before; they usually just answer the softball questions that obsessive enthusiasts already know. Hope I'm wrong though.
  8. [Official] 150K Bronco Reservations Received Already

Ha, this is how I'm picturing some reservation holders: July: Hey this thing looks cool! And it's around $30K, I think I'll reserve one! August: Hmm I like this rubberized floor with a drain, so I'll go Black Diamond. Ooh, and mid package looks nice! Definitely want the sasquatch package, so I...
  9. Bronco out the door pricing?

We also don't know the pricing on the various packages or individual options. So I would advise to start with MSRP of the trim you want, add the $1495 destination fee, look up your state's tax rate on cars (I'm in texas and here it's 6.25% of the net of the final sales price minus trade-in...
  10. Base Model Bronco Thread

Dude! This got me all fired up again! I had a few thoughts creeping in my head lately "well maybe I should get a nicer version"..."who even buys base models anymore?"..."with this delay, I could easily save more and afford an outer banks.' Thanks for slapping that silliness out of my mind, sir!.
  11. Why would anyone buy the 2dr Big Bend over the Base?

Agree with this too. The base will be a freaking unicorn on lots. I suspect those of us who order the base will be the ones getting bumped into 2022. Ford will punish anyone unwilling to drop $40K+ :sneaky:
  12. Why would anyone buy the 2dr Big Bend over the Base?

This is how I saw it. If you asked if I'd give up fog lights, the different grille, leather wrapping, 32"s, Area 51 paint, and the *right* to purchase mid package for, say, $2K off I'd say no. But when they trim $5K for that stuff it gets convincing! Especially considering that $5K can...
  13. 2021 Bronco delivery now "targeted to begin June 2021" and possibly into 2022

I'm guessing the reservations overshot expected numbers, so they're doing a CYA date push-back that may or may not affect those of us who got in relatively early.
  14. Bronco Dealer Tour Before Orders/Delivery

Ha, I'd probably sit in the thing and realize how impractical it would be since I'm gonna be doing 90% commuting to work and only 10% fun stuff. "Hmm, this thing is probably loud on the road" ... "would my kids even fit back here?" ... "this is going to be a tight fit in the parking garage."...
  15. Should I upgrade to a higher model from Base 4 door

Do we have any more info on the "high level instrument panel dash?" Is that the screen in the gauge cluster next to the analog tach? I assumed that was standard across trims. If the cool looking digital screen from the promos is not available on the lower trims, that's a bummer.
  16. Anyone still on the fence without knowing final price and test driving?

I'm on the fence about the engine/transmission choice until I see the price differences. The weird thing about this is I am NEVER the "buy a first year vehicle without driving or even seeing it in person" guy. I'm also pretty damn frugal in general. And I don't even need a new vehicle at all...
  17. Is this option/financing sheet accurate?

Hold up, did you post that just to make us all look at a shadow of your twig & berries? (JK obviously, appreciate the math discussion)
