  1. Reverse lights not working

Did you use diodes with your baja lights? If not, when you turn them on with Aux, it will back feed the stock reverse.
  2. Capable Bumper Front Plate Mounting

I didn't want anything bolted to my bumper.... so I used two 100lb magnets bolted to the top holes of the license plate and a couple zip ties to make sure it didn't slide around. I used a 2" round sticker pad thing (no idea where that came from, but it was in my garage and the right size) on...
  3. Tire Mount Bike Rack

Random question.... Can it be mounted upside-down? I'm wondering if it could be dual purpose.... mount fishing rod holders on the horizontal bars. With it upside-down, that might drop the poles low enough so your not hitting every tree branch when going out on a fishing trip. Flip it the...
  4. My garage setup for doors and hardtop

@c-dubb , How is the hoist connected to the roof panels, how is the middle panel supported? Side question, how tall is your garage? Looks like you have 2 or 3 feet of clearance between the roof of your bronco and the top of the garage door opening.

  6. Thoughts: Air Compressor in Muffler Location?

I'm not set on the location... and I was half joking about a snorkel kit. I'm also torn between the advantages of a built-in system versus a portable something.
  7. Thoughts: Air Compressor in Muffler Location?

What are you using? What about the above concern (mounted low vs. puddles/mud holes)
  8. Thoughts: Air Compressor in Muffler Location?

For Aux Fuel, you could go old school.... Just a plastic jug in the vehicle cabin behind the driver somewhere. :)
  9. 1" Ram Mount - Multiple mounting locations

Cool looking piece, but hard for me to justify the cost when I already own a box of ram stuff from other projects and I'm not sure where I want a phone mounted permanently. I did an extension off of the mount on the top of the dash. That put my phone in a great location, but the long boom...
  10. Thoughts: Air Compressor in Muffler Location?

So then who makes an air compressor with a snorkel kit? Excellent point Razorbak86. The location might be good for an auxiliary air tank.... but the compressor should be higher up.
  11. Thoughts: Air Compressor in Muffler Location?

As in emissions? Muffler doesn't effect emissions.... just volume. I haven't heard this in person, but from videos, a 2.7 with the flow master outlaw, Flowmaster Muffler Delete , sounds quieter than my F150 with a Magnaflow. I think you are legally required to have a muffler, but I don't...
  12. 1" Ram Mount - Multiple mounting locations

How is this part happening? Bolted on, special hand grip, unicorn dust?
  13. Thoughts: Air Compressor in Muffler Location?

When looking at exhaust modifications, it appears that several of the solutions are basically muffler delete kits. Even on the larger 2.7, the sound doesn't appear to be loud enough to draw unwanted attention. If one were to do a muffler delete, that will open up a pretty big cavity under the...
  14. 1" Ram Mount - Multiple mounting locations

Found this on Amazon.... For the price (under $20), I'm sure it's not the best quality. I've used off brand ball mount stuff in the past with mixed results.... typical issue with the generic stuff is that it dries, cracks and falls apart after a while in sunlight. But I bought this just so I...

  16. DIY Holster under steering wheel

I was looking for a holster solution.... but hesitant to screw a gun magnet to my new ride (which I have used and loved in my other vehicles). Q: But Bill, those magnets also come with 3M Tape A: True, but I'm not a fan of tape or suction cups in the Texas heat. Q: What about retention? A...
  17. First Bronco bolt accessory -- phone holder by Tackform

I ended up making one. Used a cheep IWB holster off amazon ($8), one velcro D ring tool thing from ACE Hardware ($5) and some leftover webbing ($?). I attached the "D" ring to the hoop on the holster and wrapped the velcro strap around some metal chunk under the steering wheel. The webbing...
