  1. Doorless soft top Badlands goes through a car wash. 😳

Buys new Bronco, doesn't know how to write a check.
  2. What’s wrong with this picture? Help

Not a fan of the fender delete look and the screws make them look cheap. 😐
  3. Fix the wavy rear window on soft top? [Closed due to rudeness of OP]

It's a psychological phenomenon that one develops a preference for things as they become familiar with them, it's known as the mere-exposure effect, sometimes called the familiarity principle. Obviously, Ford was banking on this working with the Bronco soft top windows and the Raptor fender...
  4. Cargo Area Mystery

Too bad Ford doesn't offer a comprehensive owner's manual with the vehicle and on line that includes videos and everything. Man, that would be so convenient. 😜
  5. 2.7L blown engine failure list . . 68 so far [Updated: December 13, 2022]

I can't even get minor work done without the car coming back hacked. Our MINI needed a master cylinder under warranty. Car came back with broken cowling, displaced weather stripping, missing hardware, loose hardware, and an improperly installed battery cover. That's only what I could see...
  6. 2.7L blown engine failure list . . 68 so far [Updated: December 13, 2022]

Having worked flat rate at the dealer, I wouldn't want a replacement engine in my vehicle. It's virtually impossible to do a meticulous job given the time allowed to swap an engine. Sure, you may get the conscientious mechanic willing to take a loss on the job, there were a few of us, but many...
  7. Fix the wavy rear window on soft top? [Closed due to rudeness of OP]

Having owned dozens convertibles over 40 years (currently have three), the Bronco soft top is the epitome of commercially acceptable.
  8. First Oil Change at Dealer…disaster

I've had two flats on the road in 40 years. Any difference in tire diameter won't destroy my differential driving the day or two it might take to get the flat fixed, I'll keep it off the highway. I detail my cars often so UV protectant spritzed on the spare will keep it in fine shape. :)
  9. Full side graphics: what do you want to see?

    BroncoWagon exclusive.
  10. Good News, and Mostly Bad News - 2021 in 2022

I can't imagine the logistics of installing parts in a post production environment like what we see in the photo. That has to be costing Ford some serious money over line production. I'm surprised they don't just ship the Broncos to the dealers as is and have the parts installed there when...
  11. First Oil Change at Dealer…disaster

2009 was quite a while ago as vehicle standards and practices go. I was told it's a liability issue unless marked as a spare somehow, federal regulation or not, sometimes the lawyers win. Ford isn't giving you one on the spare out of the goodness of their heart.
  12. First Oil Change at Dealer…disaster

Most TPMS have a centrifugal switch to preserve battery power, the sensor is off until it spins. I was under the impression that unless marked something like "emergency use only" that the spare must have a TPMS. Liability reasons.
  13. First Oil Change at Dealer…disaster

Hot water extractor should take that dirt right out. We kept one on standby, just in case. I like to keep my cars detailed, it's a hobby. My spare will remain on the tailgate until it's needed, just to keep it clean and new. I know it's a dumb reason. You're driving a $32,000+ vehicle that...
  14. Big Bend CV Axle Problem or Rough Country 2" spacer lift &, or 35" tires - Who's to blame?

As to the clip issue. If the clip was missing, the joint cold have slid off the axle easier during factory assembly (or possibly during the lift?). Part of it's job is holding the joint in place during servicing. Did you check inside the boot and inside the joint for the clip? Are we sure the...
  15. Good News, and Mostly Bad News - 2021 in 2022

Heck yeah. Any other vehicle at any other period of time would be discounted as a leftover. Ford is really boning you if you buy a 2021 at MSRP well into 2022 production. If I planned on keeping the vehicle past the inflationary hype period, I'd walk away from a 2021 now.
  16. Big Bend CV Axle Problem or Rough Country 2" spacer lift &, or 35" tires - Who's to blame?

I've never worked on a Bronco axle, but I've worked with thousands of axles at my shop. I've never seen an axle shaft slide loose of the CV joint while installed in the vehicle. The axle shaft is designed to be contained between the joints when installed, for safety reasons. The manufacturer...
  17. Realistically, when will you be able to walk into a dealer and buy msrp?

Exactly. The 1% with a lack of self-control, who can't curb their need for instant gratification, are too oblivious to see they are setting a precedent, and screwing over the Average Joe, who doesn't necessarily have an extra 10+ grand to burn for no good reason.
