Maybe you're independently wealthy. Did you see the price on those? Think they're capped too.
Guess you never had the caps slip on you before. If it happens to you once, you'll understand.
That's true, but it's the flat area of the wheel around the flange that's not finished. No part of the nut comes in contact with it. These areas were probably covered by the rack the wheel was mounted on during the painting process.
You should get out your reading glasses. I said OEM bulge. With calipers the difference is about a 1/16 of an inch which would equate to 1/32 of an inch all around which would be almost un noticeable.
Read the post. The lug nuts I bought are OEM size. If you look closely at the stock nuts, you can see the unpainted area even with those. It's just not as obvious with the chrome nuts. They have a taper flange. I measured both with calipers and the difference is minimal.
Washer? What are you...
Installed black lug nuts today. McGard OEM Bulge nuts. F'n Ford couldn't paint the whole wheel black. Had to leave an unfinished ring around the hole.
Next time I take the wheels off, I guess I'll black out the friggin silver.
My mistake. Could've sworn the sticker said 3:73. It's a 4:70 Good for 3500lbs.
Thanks for the heads up.
Still cruises nice and gets decent mpg. About the same as my Raptor and better than my JK build that had 4:88's and 37's.
OK, I looked all over and there is no listing for the tow capacity for a 2DR, 2.7L, 3:73, 10spd Badlands Squatch.
I'm assuming it's 3450 like the Outerbanks etc. Ford just doesn't list the Badlands with the 3:73 10spd.
It shows the manual rating, but the auto is blank.
Did mine today without issue. Loosened with long ratchet and backed out with drill. Reinstalled by hand. Left factory loctite on bolts. Decided not to use anti-seize. Thread locker serves same purpose. Just use a GOOD torx bit.
One of the first things I check. That and the oil level when I pick up a new vehicle. Don't take "Dealer Prep" for granted. They usually have some young kid doing it.
I solved the oil pan problem. I bring it to the dealer for oil changes and if anything screws up, it's on them. BTW, my last change said 6qts on the paper and my dipstick shows well over the top hole. Go figure!
Auto Start Stop is complete BS. They always said you use more fuel starting an engine. How much fuel do you save stopping an engine at a red light vs idling for 2 min. Plus it's friggin annoying.
Take a Dremel and cut them off. LOL
I hate the friggin things. If I fold the rear seats down, they push the bottom cushion against the back of my driver's seat. Whoever designed the rear seat should be fired.
Beautiful cars. Both the C8 and love the Split C3. My past 2 toys. Both had to go due to left leg problems. I'll only drive manual sport cars. Can still ride my Harley :)
