  1. Oil change cost - how much?

I switched from Amsoil Signature series to Driven DI30. I’m custom tuned and pushing this little 2.3L. Not cheap though, over $100 and I change my self.
  2. 2025 2.3L Ford Performance Tune

Custom tuning is opened up for 25+ 2.3L MPC motors. Confirmed this with Adam at ZFG...
  3. Got some new trail beauty marks at Uwharrie this weekend

My brother took his F150 Raptor to Uwharrie. He was able to do most of the moderate trails, but it took forever as I had to guide him through a lot of it. It's just too damn wide.
  4. Anyone with a JB4 style tuning device and have breakup at full boost?

It sounds like you're experiencing spark blowout. Do you happen to know the current gap on your spark plugs? Over time, these gaps naturally widen, so it might be worth pulling them for an inspection.
  5. Can’t stop redlining the 2.3

I’d argue that Coyotes actually lack meaningful low-end torque compared to the EcoBoost motors. The 5.0 has snappy throttle response, which people often mistake for torque during city driving, but the Coyote really needs to be revved to the moon to make power. The EcoBoost motors deliver peak...
  6. Can’t stop redlining the 2.3

Definity not a race car, but doesn't mean it's not fun to whip it around like one. The 2.3L feels pretty wimpy in stock form. Custom tune wakes it up, but at the end of the day it still feels like a 4 banger. The 2.7L is a different animal when custom tuned.
  7. Can’t stop redlining the 2.3

I don't own the MPC 2.3, but my 2021 with an E30 custom tune feels like a little monster. With 329 RWHP and 418 RWTQ on tap she moves out. That said, the OEM turbo runs out of breath at 5500 RPM. My incoming modified one should pull up to 6500 RPM, but we'll see. The manual is so much fun :)
  8. Little Engine, Big Power: My 2.3L Bronco Performance Modification Build

:) Glad to hear it! No clutch info yet, but I will be going the southbend route. Just have some other mods I want to focus on before I spend all that money. It will happen, but not for a bit. Want to take it off-road soon, so want to add some things before I do so. So far I'm enjoying the E30...
  9. Building to 400hp on the 2.3 — am I missing anything

Need to have the tuner strictly limit torque and avoid lugging—specifically high boost at low RPM. It is essential to use a competent tuner who understands the platform's specific weaknesses. That said, even with a good tune, an aggressively pushed 2.3L will inevitably face structural fatigue...
  10. Building to 400hp on the 2.3 — am I missing anything

This is my Bronco in the link that @Ducati1098 mentioned. Letting Gemini take the wheel here for a moment, I'm pretty close to your target, though using an E30 mix, not just 93 octane. Is it possible with just 93? Might be, but not with the OEM turbo. Using a 15% to 16% loss factor—which is...
  11. Little Engine, Big Power: My 2.3L Bronco Performance Modification Build

Even with a soft launch and less aggressive shifts...the OEM clutch ain't cutting it. I won't be doing any Dragy pulls until I get a Southbend clutch installed. Might be a bit, unfortunately. Here's an example - 1st to 2nd was OK due to the weak launch and not riding the clutch to hard, but 2nd...
  12. Will I regret not adding an oil catch can sooner?

2.3L @ 67K miles with no catch can - Just put one on.
  13. 60th Anniversary Addition

I think they look pretty good, but most of these special editions are not all that special. Most are just parts bin models. Ford just looking for a way to increase margins...They don't feel like true special editions...I also feel like Mustang is headed down the same path.
  14. 2021 Bronco 2.3L Ecoboost Custom Tuning Dyno Results!

Safe Daily: 330–350 whp / 420 wtq. This is the sweet spot with an intercooler, bolt-ons, and a solid 93 or E30 tune. Pushing It: 400 whp / 425+wtq. You’re entering "borrowed time" here. The stock fueling and rods start to become a gamble past 400. Pushing over 450 wtq at low RPMs puts a tons...
  15. 2021 Bronco 2.3L Ecoboost Custom Tuning Dyno Results!

Truly unknown, but these numbers are still within the safe zone for the 2.3L.
  16. 2021 Bronco 2.3L Ecoboost Custom Tuning Dyno Results!

The cost of all the performance mods listed is around 4K. You’ll see the largest gain from the custom tune alone, which is $900.
  17. CVF High Mount Intercooler install and testing

CVF has a fix coming next month. Email them to get a replacement hot side pipe. I have a TS BOV on my CVF charge pipes, but hard to use a machine washer as a spacer.
