  1. Tie rod just snapped while turning around in driveway [Update: Replaced Under Warranty]

Definitely something up with lock nut torque because mine is way off like it was checked and then tightened down more, where other people like you and the OP have. Wonder if it was set wrong at the factory, needed to be torqued further at the dealer, and they gave the little guys a bit too much...
  2. Tie rod just snapped while turning around in driveway [Update: Replaced Under Warranty]

Lol none of the paint marks on my Badlands lined up when I picked mine up. Checked everything torque myself and had the alignment checked and it was in spec, but I would not trust the factory paint marks at all. IDK what happened when they built mine, but I would not surprise if it was common.
  3. Fox Coilovers: Where are they??? (Pre-order)

We have definitely heard it from Fox as well as the guys at RTR/Funhaver, but I certainly would not come to the conclusion without a fair amount of first-hand evidence. We have had a grip of Fox 2.0 coilovers come back for flaking powdercoat right out of the box in the last 2-3 weeks. Contrary...
  4. Fox Coilovers: Where are they??? (Pre-order)

I have seen some of the powder coat on the Eibach springs Fox uses be subpar recently probably so this is probably it. All my ETAs got bumped to July so August is more than likely a safe bet
  5. Icon Stage 4 vs King Stage 2

I sell the stuff and truthfully you can not go wrong with either, but they are definitely very different. The Kings are more linearly valved while the Icons are more digressive. In English, that means the Icons will have less body roll and brake dive, but will be stiffer over some smaller bumps...
  6. Ford Performance Upgraded Steering Rack and Tie Rods

That was a poor choice of words, I did not mean I think that the rack explodes the second you put big tires on it. They certainly are not that weak, I just think many people had the idea it could take more abuse. I do know Michael Cox popped one at KOH and I have seen a few issues with the rack...
  7. Ford Performance Upgraded Steering Rack and Tie Rods

I have definitely thought about this a lot and I think that the retaining cap is made to be like a "fuse" for the rack in the event of an accident so the wheel does not tear your thumbs off. Happens a lot in drifting with EPAS racks where people have locked wheels and had their steering snap...
  8. Fox Coilovers: Where are they??? (Pre-order)

ETA I am getting on our order here at Shock Surplus is showing the parts should ship out on 3/7 and arrive by 3/16. The next batch is likely going out from Fox in early April, then more in mid- May, and another batch in mid-June. One thing I would say is everybody is running behind so prepare...
  9. Cactus Gray WildTrak on 37s - No lift

Some things I think that should be mentioned. 1. There is a difference between rubbin a bit and RUBBING. If it is not enough to stop the lock up the tire at speed, it is not really limiting travel. 2. A 37 is going to reduce tire clearance by one inch, not two. (I know my old geometry teacher...
  10. Cactus Gray WildTrak on 37s - No lift

Probably all offset. The lower you go, the more you increase the scrub radius so the +12 is probably just enough for getting the the inner well clearance you need, but not so much that the scrub radius becomes an issue around the tire when you turn. With that said I would bet dollars to donuts...
  11. Submit Your Bronco Questions For This Week’s Off-Road Expo Appearance

Would love to see if the rear diff can be locked in 2wd along with if there is going to be a ford performance lift available at launch
  12. Manufacturer of Bronco Ford Performance factory lift kit?

My guess it is going to be Bilstein 8112s similar to what is found on Toyotas. Near the release somebody commented on Bilsteins Instagram post on the HOSS ESCV wondering when and if something similar would be available in the aftermarket. Their chief marketing guy responded saying it was the...
  13. Bronco Reservations Tracking List & Stats [Enter Yours!]

Wondering if lower number means you got your reservation in earlier, because my number seems to have come in pretty low. Had to go 2 door badlands so I could get the manual
  14. 2.3L Ecoboost only?

The 4 banger Ecoboost should be a stout in this platform. In most cases, reviewers of this engine in the Mustang were in love with the instant response and low end grunt, but wished it had more top end. Sounds like a perfect truck motor to me!
  15. Spy Shots

100% an Expedition. If you look carefully it shares the same Independent rear suspension as the current models. My guess is this is merely a powertrain test mule for a new engine option in the Expedition. I presume the small diesel expected for the F-150 line.
