Good deal, nothing worse than seeing trash everywhere out in the wilderness!
BTW if you like cinnamon whiskey but not crap, take a bottle of cheap stuff (Evan Williams BIB is excellent for little money), put 2-3 cinnamon sticks in and a red chili. Take the chili out after a few days (when spicy...
We did ours relatively early (probably about 3k in) and my wife's MPG keeps going up. I'd say at the time we were at about 18.1 or so and now is 18.6 but, this is probably more due to her getting used to it, she had a Volt before and while it had that electric car torque, it was more of a dog...
Agreed, even after pressure washing it seems like there is always additional mud.
I was surprised that there wasn't a huge amount under the oil pan cover, it was covered, but not caked.
Distortion kills speakers, not power. Anecdotally, we plugged a 6" speaker into a wall socket for giggles and the thing lasted over 5 minutes. Over 4000w at 60hz and she just kept humming until the voicecoil melted.
I put Liqui-Moly Molygen in. Have been using them or Motul in my BMW for a while and they had a oil with Ford's spec. It's weird looking stuff, has a UV dye to locate leaks so it is green like antifreeze.
It's all TCU and throttle lag. It's hard to tell when the trans shifts but I guarantee you're tooling around in 6th-8th gear even at 40mph. When you gun it you deal with the timing of the throttle first and then the trans has to realize you want action, shift 3-4 gears and you're finally off...
I've never driven one but our son recently visited and drove my wife's bronco and he was very impressed with the handling and acceleration. When they came back he said "That definitely doesn't ride like a Jeep"
It's not so much the airbox on this or the K&N, it's the improved piping to the turbo inlet(s). Making a less torturous path means better flow, period.
If you could fit it up, you could probably use the stock box and the upgraded piping and get similar numbers.
Most CAI are just the air box...
I've seen storms in FL and GA that go deep purple, almost black. I don't want to be outside when they roll through!
Good move getting under shelter, poor thing would be pummeled being all aluminum and plastic.
We bought our Volt with 212 miles on the odometer. It was 80 miles away at a different dealership and they offered to drive it instead of waiting on a truck. I guess the other miles were test drives or maybe it had been moved around a couple times. I didn't care. It's stated on the purchase and...
All our cars have names, if they don't have a name, they're not liked...also, being an ex-sailor, they're all female as all ships and machinery.
Of the ones I can remember
Melissa the Mustang
Zsusa the Porsche 924s
Kali the Taurus SHO
Lola the Fiesta
Oya the Volt
Greta the BMW X2m35i
Lotte the...
