Really depends on the car. Mostly lose depth because you can still put stuff on top and close the console. I don't think so. You know how often mine is empty?

Petty thieves and kids generally just make a mess rifling through console and glove box. If there's something obvious they can see through the window they might break in for a snatch and grab, quickly escape. I don't see them taking the time to break apart a console to take a safe with them...

I ran a trektop NX on my JKU's every summer, and I always used the touchless "laser" wash when it was on or I used the self wash bays when it needed a scrub. During the winter months I put the hard top on and use the auto wash. I plan on doing the same with the Bronco and expect no issues.
