I agree with this. My experience in california mountains has been they close the road before they make 4wd with decent tires put chains on. Carrying them is good though.
For those of you that have these sliders, (or even ones similar to them in terms of ergonomics) how useful do you find these as a step for people getting in the vehicle?
Are the pictures of the sliders on the website all the flat version? Any more pictures of how the 20 degree angled versions look from different angles and with top plate?
