I agree with this. My experience in california mountains has been they close the road before they make 4wd with decent tires put chains on. Carrying them is good though.

Thanks. I mainly want to ensure that they don't make it harder to get in. If there is small improvement, i'll take that over stock.

For those of you that have these sliders, (or even ones similar to them in terms of ergonomics) how useful do you find these as a step for people getting in the vehicle?

Any updates on these? Both in terms of for those who have them, how they've functioned, how sturdy you perceive them to be, and whether they do stick out past the width of the door?
