That appears to be the “word”. We all need to make sure we report it to our dealer so they have us on record.

As reported elsewhere on B6G, It is a known problem and Ford is redesigning the switch. The replacement switches may be available in October. It is suggested that you go to the dealer and get in the system so that there is a ticket started on the issue and you will be in the que.

I do not have the security system. I do have phantom lights, unless I manually switch to “off” before shutdown.

I find that manually turning the switch so that it is off, before shutting down and exiting the vehicle, keeps the lights off. Otherwise, within an hour they will come on, on their own. It appears to be faulty software as no other parts replacements seem to work.

At this point there is no known solution. Several have had the switch replaced, and the problem persists. Some are waiting on a BCM replacement, but those are back ordered, and we have not seen anyone report that fixes the issue. The smart money is the problem is a software issue. Hopefully a...

Its interesting that a lot of us with this issue have Base Broncos. Not all, but quite a few. Our switch does not have features like fog lights. I’m guessing it’s a bad batch of switches.
