That was me right behind you when he stood up for the photo. I had a chuckle watching that happen. We only made it halfway before turning around on Tail of the Dragon. Even on Dramamine, the kids, and dog, were not having it. haha
They actually sent me the long one at first as well. I was not sure if there’s a difference between the straight and curved bar. The curved bar sat way too far away from the rack with the longer mount. I would contact Gobi to see if they can send you the shorter one, or even if that will work...
For those that have installed spacer lifts on their non-sasquatch Badlands, have you had any issues with the upper control arm/ball joint contacting the coil spring at full droop?

That stabilizer in the middle is something I added based on someone else I saw online doing a similar thing. Just wanted to be completely rock solid. The Gobi mounts alone are pretty rigid, but I already had the components.
I think the thought is that the rack can be used if the rear section of the top has been removed as long as you have the side ladders. That would put the side supports of the rack on the fenders as opposed to the top sides of the rear hard top section. Basically using the soft top roof rack on...
Exactly. The T-Slots are needed to attach the quick release levers. This will allow quick removal of the tent so the Gobi rack can be tilted back and the soft top can be opened. It will be a massive pain to have to unbolt the tent each time it is taken on and off or if I simply want to open...
Not the vast majority. There were a few released for marketing purposes. But there are some in this forum that have experience with the same product that has been released for other vehicles.

The access is either in the back or the sides. Climbing a corner ladder would put you face to face with the corner of the tent. Climbing the side ladder should give better access to the side entrances.
