Today I went to my Ford dealer to look into the parts for the hard top prep kit. My Bronco was built in August of 2021, about a month before Ford started adding prep kits to soft tops. Because none of the aftermarket hardtops are out yet, the people at my Ford dealer didnt know anything about...
It was delivered on 10/23/21. The blend date was 8/6/21 but it was recalled then re-released on 9/24/21. I was never told the reason why. Hopefully I do have the prep kit. Do you know how can I check?
Does ADV know if Ford has the hardtop prep kits available? For those of us who have to buy the kits, could you please describe how will we activate the rear wiper and the rear defrost? Thank you.
That's what I'm worried about. I don't want to spend all this money and not have the prep kit available or the roof not fully, perfectly functional. But there are a lot of us with soft tops who don't have prep kits, so I'm sure ADV has thought this through.
Do you know how much the hard top prep kit costs and if it is actually available from Ford? Do we get it from dealers? I'd hate to order the ADV top and not be able to install it because I cant get the prep kit.
I'm surprised about your experience with McMahon. They never eleven brought up a markup. I picked up mine in October of '21. I guess things changed as time went on.
The only off-roading I really do is driving on the beach Nantucket. I did the off roadeo in New Hampshire and that stuff was...
Installed DV8 OE Series front bumper and FS-15 Series rear bumper with DV8 Elite fogs in front and flush pods in the back. Connected the rear light pods to an auxiliary switch instead of tying it into reverse to have the flexibility to use it when I want. Really happy with how everything turned out.
Yes, those are their plugs. You raise good point though. I do have a pre collision warning system that has come on a few times when I've had to stop suddenly in traffic. I'm not sure if its sensor is in the front bumper or the grill. As I mentioned, I didn't do the work myself and this is a good...
My Bronco is a '21 seven speed manual transmission. To get the manual, back then at least, I had to get the base package. So I don't have any sensors in the bumpers.
I had the DV8 OE series front bumper and FS-15 Series rear bumper and the DV8 Elite fog lights and flush pods installed this week. I considered trying it myself, but with the wiring required in back, thought it was beyond my meager skill level. BVan604 we used the adapters you suggested and they...
I really like the people at Precision and agree they do great work. They did my lift last year. As far as McMahon goes, there was never even any discussion of a markup. They were terrific.
Today I finished the next phase of my build. I had a DV8 OE series front bumper and a DV8 FS-15 series rear bumper installed. I considered trying it myself, but I also added DV8 Elite series fog lights in the front and flush pods in the back. I've never done any wiring and didnt want to risk...
I added DV8 front and rear bumpers to my Big Bend this week. I thought about doing myself but I also added DV8 elite fog lights in the front and flush pods in the back and just wasn't comfortable trying the wiring on my own. Here are a couple pics. Really happy with how it turned out.
Hi guys. I had DV8 front and rear bumpers installed by Precision Performance in Wilton. I considered trying it myself, but I had fog lights and pods installed in the front and back as well and didn't feel comfortable trying to do the wiring. Picked it up this afternoon and I'm so happy with how...
