The unfortunate thing about the tops is I bet the first to get parked will most likely be the last to get the top swapped as they buried behind the rest of that blends Broncos so that person ends up with the longest wait of all
When exactly did they tell you a vehicle in April? Because I’m pretty sure we knew in December or early January that late Spring was earliest one was to be delivered.
It’s the same people bitching non stop, drum said in other thread that it should be in next couple weeks all of the held up blend vehicles get taken care of.
You think Ford can come up with enough soft tops when it isn’t even a factory option? Yeah just call up bestop and say you want 10-15 thousand soft tops and I’m sure they’ll just appear.
This lot rot shit is being overblown, I unload cars from Japan and Korea that get parked and shipped and they sitting for at least a month and then they might spend months in the yard before they shipped out from the port.
The thought is our earlier builds is when they found the issues, held them and are replacing them while still building new vehicles, Ford isn't going to stop production to fix the ones sitting, they just have to take some as they go and swap and ship them. unfortunately depending on how they...
Remember most of those early MIC tops because of all the issues were being built at the research and development location, everything we've seen since is from the production facility.
Somebody who knows more chime in but I believe the tops that are on jeeps are heavier than these MIC tops, if that is the case and Ford went more towards something like that it would make the GVWR and COG issues even worse.
I bet it would be a new design, but that would take a long time to get designed and tooled up... Got to think that Webasto makes most all if not all of the hard tops on other vehicles and what company could not only do it but have the production capacity to make up for this in even 18 months...
I highly doubt the aftermarket going to start making tops that will cost thousands of dollars to a limited market before knowing if Ford abandons hard tops, Ford might abandon this hard top, but wont abandon doing one at all. you have a 3 year 36k mile warranty and if these have serious issues...
yeah, they gave us $1000 in points and took off the full $1895 of the mod top, gave us free mic tops since there was no upcharge from a soft to a mic for us. Lets just ask for tops to be quality when we get them.
