I messed around with the GOAT modes a bit yesterday.
They change the throttle and shift tuning on mine. For most driving, like on the equivalent of FS roads and the like, it's more economical and comfortable to just put the Bronco in Normal and hit 4H or 4A and cruise along. If you need a...
I've signed up for this thread!
I've been trying to think about how to get my Yaesu into the Bronco. So far, I think I have a handle on getting my rig runner into the cab but I'm not 100% sure where I want to put it. All the usual places seem to be pretty cramped to me.
Very interesting to...
Thanks! I figured that might be the case based on your location. We live down around Lone Peak.
But the spot in your photo was particularly beautiful!
I spent my day out between Simpson Springs and Delta. It's not nearly as pretty as that spot was, though! I'm a little jealous! I'm going...
When I saw mine before they prepped it, I saw the front license plate holder in the passenger seat. I looked at it and said, "That's a hard no." The sales manager walked off with it so it wouldn't end up on my Bronco by mistake.
I have an alternative solution until something better comes along.
Four broncos!
Played with donut mode (then parked in my donut hole):
Saw the sights:
Visited sketchy neighborhoods:
Climbed things:
Overall a pretty good day!
Out around to the south of Dugway. I don't want to do anything likely to break something unless it was going to break anyway, but I do want to make sure all the things that should be working work as intended.
I'm taking notes for things that might need adjustment so I can get it all sorted out...
I nearly went to work for Ford before the Army extended my enlistment. I was in the interview and mentioned the Bronco was my absolute favorite Ford vehicle and I hoped to have one one day. The interviewer said, "You'd better hurry. It's being discontinued and replaced." That was 1996...
No. MIC in this context, as other posters have said, means Michigan Assembly Plant. It has nothing to do with Molded In Color tops. The most likely order of MIC replacement is in the same order as blend number/rotation number since they said they would replace them from oldest to newest.
Tonight, I did my first fill up since buying the Bronco, going out to the desert tomorrow and wanted a full tank. I had run 228 miles, mostly in town, and had half a tank. Here's the results from the Fuelly app - it's my best MPG because it's my only MPG, LOL!
I have yet to have anyone wave at me, but I've not really been paying attention. There are so very many Jeeps in this area and I'm focusing on not hitting anything with my Bronco!
The Broncos do attract a lot of attention. I get a lot of thumbs up signs from people and I'll occasionally...
Correct - from what I am hearing, if you have a MIC top and you're stuck at MAP, you are waiting until October when the new tops start coming available and they will be allocated to the oldest builds first, so June builds will receive them prior to July builds prior to August, etc.
Strap in for...
I was out with the wife and daughter yesterday. I noticed at some point she'd put her water bottle in the door pocket. I thought, "Ford would be proud."
It occurs to me that something other than the top is probably your problem, like the engine fell out on the ground and they're trying to put it back in. With hand tools. And a pickaxe.
