Probably holding the throttle open a bit longer for you like it does on the Ranger Raptor. that’s why in baja mode it’s “off road use only”. it allows the truck to keep the turbo spooled slightly for better response.

It’s mostly there to get the cats warm enough to do their job. my miata had a funny quirk where if you started with the clutch in, but shifter in reverse it would disable the high idle start. very nice for those early morning shifts at work.

This. A lift of 3.5” without adjusting the track bar will have weird characteristics. Add a drop bracket & an adjustable bar and get your thrust angle sorted.

I will downshift to 1st under 8mph or so.. I find 2nd is too lumpy. I use C as well, especially in low speed movements.
