You need to rent a car. We stayed at Treasure Island, and it is super convenient to hop on the 15 from there, and they have free parking as well. We did a couple other day trips in the car since we were there, hoover dam, and Goodsprings to hit the Pioneer Saloon.
Oh, my hopes aren't up at all, my base order is with Granger, :) . I believe at some point in the future they will just cancel Granger orders and make people start all over anyway.
With the ongoing, and apparently much worse chip shortage, will this result in a higher rate of lower trim models being built to keep the factory line full? Granted margins are lower on lower trims, but if it means keeping the line loaded it might be a logical trade off. Not sure if there is a...
I had previously posted a video, but noticed I had removed the video from YouTube.
Since then, I have done a 3 video set of footage from the day. They are a bit long, but for those of you looking to geek out before you go, you will probably like to watch. The sound is a bit low, but is there...
Finally got some dash video cleaned up from Nevada Off-Roadeo. Here are the YouTube links. They are a little long, but for those of you looking forward to your own trip, and needing to geek out, these are good seat shots.
Stitched this video together of the Nevada Off-Roadeo. It is a little long, but gives you a good look at what the trails portion is like. Between having battery issues, and a dirty windshield facing into the sun I missed some really good parts. Video has sound, but is pretty low.
when using one pedal, does it change the throttle ratio/pedal ratio (need to push accelerator further to achieve same RPM), thought I heard that in a video, and people thinking that was strange.
Feel I will be more than happy with the 2.3L performance/reliability, but "one pedal" sounds like it could be a "nice to have" option. this requires going with the 2.7L. The cost upgrade, and my confidence in 4 cyl reliability vs V6 has me in the 2.3L camp. What are your driving impressions...
I have a reservation with Granger, sent an email to Sean last week with my order, was this what I should be doing. Realize you guys are likely busy with order conversions, but just making sure I'm doing it properly. Or should I be calling.?
They have been out west since the beginning of August. That is the same bunch right down to the black F150 that I saw heading west between Des Moines and Omaha on I-80. Think one is a Ranger with a Cap as well.
Below is a quote from a post I made Aug. 3rd. there were like 4 Warthogs, and 2 Raptor/Tremors in the group heading west that I saw. Mic tops, and Mod tops both. Guessing this is where some of them ended up.
"I didn't get a pic, but met a line of several warthogs and a couple likely Raptors...
I didn't get a pic, but met a line of several warthogs and a couple likely Raptors heading west on I-80 Sunday between Des Moines and Omaha. Has anyone else seen them or know where they were heading, maybe Moab or Johnson Valley?
I grew up in Lansing, lived in Eastherville, Mason City, Sheffield, and for the last 30 years New Albin. Right on the Mississippi river, and the Minnesota border. Probably will have the longest drive of anyone in the state of Iowa to pick up my Bronco @ Granger.
